And where are the liberals concerned about the plight of the poor in this case? The high gas prices is like a regressive tax on the poor. The poor, working class, working families, working mom’s etc. that the left/liberals are always saying they care about - the high gas prices take money out of their pockets that could be used to buy food and other necessities. And what is Obama’s answer, buy a Prius? Obama cares more about appeasing the environmental lobby that donates heavily to his campaign than he does the working classes.

Given how people on this thread (and other threads) have been praising Obama in spite of his policies and attacks on the church, it is hard to say at what point would they stop praising him. Thank you Ishii. Yes if people had taken him more at his word they also would not be surprised by $5 per gallon gas that is also something he said we needed in this country to force sorry “re educate”… Americans to go green. It was quite clear to most expats living in this country that he wanted to create a European style social democratic system in America…as if that is really working out for them. Europeans given half a chance would move to America because it was still the land of opportunity where hard work was rewarded.
Americans who support government mandated social free medicine should go and live with it in England they would never stand for the crumbling hospitals and the long waiting lists for needed surgery. If you want ‘free’ or low fee healthcare for all , that all have to buy in to you have to force people to join the pot and you must ration it to control costs. The ONLY other way to control costs as Obama and his believers see it is to control the population either by forcing them through the carrot and stick method to live healthier lives or to make sure that less babies are born…hence force pro-contraception laws on everyone…

Yes the Church is under attack but that is nothing new and we should rejoice that we can have some part in a persecution like our early Church bretheran. I can’t recall a time when our church has been so politically active for one party. I think it’s a shame. The church should stay out of politics and the government should stay out of church affairs.

The church is not politically active for any party. It simply points out where a political policy goes against the tenets of the Catholic faith. It’s the policies that are officially being condemned, not the Democratic Policy. They also point out areas where the policies coincide with Catholic belief.

It was at a temporary hospital close to Paxton set up for Polish soldiers stationed there under British command. Both my parents were Polish born. We left the U.K. in 1956 so I can’t report on their healthcare system since then. However, I had my tonsils removed in the U.S. in 1957 and haven’t been able to swallow properly since then. My parents and another doctor conceded later that the surgery was unnecessary. The way I see it a lot of medical treatment in this country is unnecessary. Sorry about your situation though.

The opposition party is anti poor, pro-war, pro-torture, anti health care and all of the things that Jesus exhibited the he would never be. I believe we have a responsibility to ***life experiencing humans, *** IE: those already here, too.

What I do not understand is how people can ignore those abuses yet claim the mantle of “pro-life”?. They seem to be so militant about microscopic cellular life, yet so callus to those already formed, developed with families and responsibilities, etc., born and living here on earth. The death penalty, water boarding and other forms of torture, unjust wars, inhumane financial policies that punish the poor with death rates that results in much younger deaths than otherwise would be, inhumane health care policies that kill the poor due to the lack of humane care, this is death from life experiencing, pain feeling humans, and not just cellular death. It weighs heavier on me. There is no perfect politician or policy. We all must weigh these matters of life and make personal judgments. That is the judgment that I have made. I know what Jesus says about how we should treat each other here on earth, I do not how he feels, or weighs in on abortion. The Bible is absent a single passage “specifically” addressing it. There are hundreds of passages that address the life I refer to.

I do not support the death penalty and I do not support abortion either. I think you embrace a Franciscan spirituality and St. Francis was radically peaceful.

The probem is, I don’t think any amount of proof will matter to those who are blind to the reality of Obama. And that includes pro-Obama posters on these forums. They will always find a rationalization to justify their support for Obama. However, if there was anything that could convince them about Obama, it would be the history of Obama’s pro-abortion acts you have posted.

Ishii - Yes, the list is more comprehensive than I thought it would be. Obama is obsessed with abortion, IMO.

It is true that some people will always be blind - however, once a person knows the truth they are then accountable to uphold the truth. That is why I posted all of the info because
there is always the chance a person would not click on the link.
