Father Federico Lombardi, the director of the Vatican press office, briefed reporters on June 21 about the plans for a visit to Armenia by Pope Francis this coming weekend.

I think it’s awesome the Pope is visiting Armenia. I think out of all the eastern Churches, we seem to have the best relations with the Armenian Apostolic Church.
 
i don’t know if the Armenian genocide will be brought up again. Armenian culture is closer to European culture than that of Turkey. So Armenia is more deserving of EU membership than Turkey.

If not by the Pope than at least by the local Bishops and local politicians.
