I am a Catholic who is a traditionalist. I’m am no sedevacantist, but I am more traditional and prefer the Tridentine mass etc. I watch a lot of Catholic videos and I sometimes see videos by “vaticancatholic.” I am aware that they are sedevacantist, but they do bring up seemingly good points. I have not done too much research, but I would like some responses to what they say from fellow faithful Catholics like me. Thank you and I look forward to seeing your comments!
 
To what Vaticancatholic says about the church being a counter church. Sorry, I wasn’t very clear
 
OK. I can accept that given the preponderance of bull caca on YouTube, though you are technically begging the question. 😉
 
Anyway, does this Bro. Dimond fella have an actual site or are there transcriptions of his videos? I’d much prefer to read somebody’s argument without all the visuals, sound effects, and other bits of silliness that is argumentum ad YouTubeum.

thus we should be in the true Church on Earth founded by Jesus himself.

There is a lot of content there and it looks like that web design hasn’t been updated since I had dial up internet.

Both the content and the presentation there can be criticized in so many ways I don’t know where to start!
 
I got interested in ultra-Tradism because of another person, but J also thought I might find there some of those riches of holiness that one hears about and which I was not at that time finding in the Church.

Well, I read and listened to lots of their stuff for way too long, dropped the somewhat vicious people, but overall they are so focused on the fact that they are right and the “NO church” is so illegitimate that they actually don’t teach very much about holiness. Instead, I became suspicious of the Church and everything that was going on, and ended up really messing up my spiritual life.

I just warn people to stay really far away from them. They may have started out with good intentions, but they are going in the wrong direction as there is no way to restore the Church in their scenario, and no explanation for he continued existence of the actual Catholic Church.

I’m pretty traditional in a lot of respects but I generally just avoid sedevacantist resources. Even when they have a few nuggets of truth or make good points here and there it doesn’t validate everything they believe as a whole.

I respect the right of people who disagree with the Catholic Church to affirm their beliefs. The problem is they keep using terms that imply what they offer here IS the Catholic Church.

Sometimes they put a sign in front Traditional Roman Catholic Church. Other times they set up a website Benedictine Monastery.

Sedevacantism is not all-or-nothing, but a matter of degree. Even those belonging to an organization that is officially non sedevacantist may hold different personal positions, which can change over time. The priest who joined the Resistance in 2018 was likely growing in sedevacantism during 2017. The one who joined his RCC diocese in 2018 was likely lessening during the prior year.

A man can be somewhat sede on one factor, and not at all sede on another.
Some say that Pope Francis is authoritative but not nearly to the degree of Pope Pius XII; all while belonging to an organization that is officially non sedevacantist.
