No one hasn’t the right to say anything denigrating to or against the Catholic Church and Her teachings. They are able to do so, just as we are able to sin. But, they do not have the right to do so.

Most Holy Family Monastery is run by brothers Michael ( ne Frederick)and Peter (ne Robert ) Dimond. It was founded in the 60’s by Joseph Natale, who had some training at a Benedictine monastery in New Jersey, but left without being ordained. Natale died in the mid-1990’s. They were evicted from their monastery in New Jersey, but moved to Fillmore, NY, where they are located today, on land that was donated. They are sedevacantists, and disagree with most other sedevacantist groups.

Right now, they are recovering, financially, from a lawsuit brought by a former member, who sued them for falsely representing themselves as Benedictines. Although they eventually won the lawsuit, they had to pay their own expenses and court costs, which must have been quite costly, as the trial lasted from 2009-2014.

The site seems to have been simplified, which could be explained by the fact that the amount of money in question was a little over a million and a half dollars! Although they won the right to keep it, the lawyer’s cost must have been astronomical.

I really don’t feel that comfortable writing about/discussing the whole thing. Peter Dimond has written extensively on the sedevacantist question, and his books, I’m sure, can be purchased on one or more of tge links already posted. Also living in the monastery is a woman known as ‘Sister Anne’ who has been there since around 2014. I hope that this helps interested parties to find information. Personally, I don’t agree with much of what they say, but do believe they have a right to share those beliefs.

Hope this helps.

I have to wonder if mental illness plays a role with some of these more radical fringe groups. I mean…come on.

Folks, this thread is what’s know as an “advertisement”.
A poster puts up a site “hey what do you think of this…” and asks non specific questions about it, generates discussion, click-throughs. It works well.
