It’s a very interesting article and it surprises me, because I had been under the impression that it was going to go the other way.
 
As did I! I thought we were heading in the opposite direction.

But I trust Holy Mother Church!

Wrong. The article and the heading of this post by the OP are not related.

The local bishops of the Diocese of Mostar-Duvno have been skeptical about the phenomenon since it allegedly began, back in 1981, when Our Lady Queen of Peace first allegedly appeared to a group of seers, and continues to do so.

The current bishop, Ratko Peri, reiterated his belief the apparitions were not genuine in February, after Hoser’s appointment was announced.

The mission entrusted to Hoser was not to determine the veracity of the alleged apparitions, and he has said it has a “supplementary character” to the study made by the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which was led by Italian Cardinal Camillo Ruini.

Ruini’s commission, set up by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010 to study the Medjugorje question, concluded its works in 2014. On June 6, 2015, Pope Francis told reporters that “we’ve reached the point of making a decision and then they will say.”

Hoser told the KAI Catholic news agency that “from a pastoral point of view, there is a very positive result.”

“My mission was not to make a judgement on Medjugorje, but to evaluate whether the pastoral ministry was proper and consistent with the doctrine and teaching of the Church; and effective and well organized. I concluded that this is the case,” the archbishop said.
 
Archbishop Hoser indicates that CONFESSIONS and PIETY by lay persons are genuine. That is it.

The “phenomenon” has been determined NOT AUTHENTIC for the upteenth time

The word indication means it’s not written in stone, and when you click on the link that’s the precise title Crux gives to the article.

Right. Totally an attention grabbing headline, which, as one sees reading further - “indicates” no such recognition.

Pastoral care mission the recent investigation covered is very different to investigating the ongoing claims .

This article is false and very misleading

The pastoral care team was there to look at the pastoral care needed .

The pastoral care team were not there investigating the claims.

Two very seperate issues of two very seperate offices of the Vatican.

We must be accurate. We must seek accuracy in what we read , esp where this place is concerned. A pastoral care team doesn’t make decisions or announce pending decisions on apparition claims.

To investigate Pastoral care. That means what do the people need. Ie Mass, churches, Reconcilliation etc. What scammers or fraudsters need to be stopped from scamming visitors. Do some visitors need lots of Priest face time. Etc

NOT to investigate the claims.

Lol okay. You asked if he was acting on behalf of the Holy Father. He was sent by him. What are you worried about? If it is approved you don’t have to devote to it. If it’s not approved then that’s it.

No. He was speaking to the press on his own behalf and with his own voice.

When an official statement is eventually made, it will be from the Dicastery, through official channels, with support from the Press Office of the Holy See.
