The fact that this may be a rather lavish dwelling (and it isn’t just Cardinal Bertone living there) is not in itself grounds for any wrongdoing. And it is important to stress that the cardinal himself is not under investigation. If others have misappropriated funds for this project, without the knowledge of the cardinal, then he cannot be blamed for this.
