I would like that Catholicism rethinking but I doubt it, why? for many reasons. But I doubt it.

The Muslims don’t believe Christianity and Judaism as equal to Islam. They never have and never will. They are still mad at us for the defeat in Vienna some years ago. There is no god, but Allah. That’s Saudi Arabia motto with a sword underneath those words. See, if you don’t believe, you gonna die. There’s no peace until the world is Muslim. Sounds like communism, but it’s true.

I wish we’d stop all this interreligious dialogue nonsense. All it’s done is dilute the faith and confused good Catholics. How many times have you seen posts by faithful Catholics on this site asking, “Do I really have to believe that Muslims worship my God?” I feel their pain.

What needs to be the focus is evangelization. This is not done by telling the Muslims they worship the same God with us (and I think it’s funny the Catechism refers to the Muslim god as “merciful” ) and calling on everyone to forget Truth and hold hands. No, you see more converts for Christ and His Church when you–GASP–actually speak of the necessity for conversion. People want the truth. People need the truth. It’s dishonest to keep the truth of the need for conversion to Christ away from the Muslims (and Jewish people for that matter).

I hope the Church will begin to focus once again on true evangelization and leave all this false-peace, feel-good nonsense of ecumenism behind. Christ is the answer!

This is perfectly true. I know that some people will respond that there are nice people who are Muslim. The problem is that these (genuinely) nice people are not the ones who are in charge. In fact, they are often under attack by their fellow Muslims…
We have to come to the realization that natural religions–ie, all religions other than Christianity & Judaism–do not worship the same God as we do. Until we understand this, we are in peril of underestimating what the Muslim world really thinks of us.

And we Catholics don’t believe that Judaism or Islam are equal to Catholicism either. To do so would be to commit the sin of indifferentism.

Are you a Catholic? If so, read what the Catechism and Encyclicals have said about Islam. They do worship the same God we do.
