Tell me where I screwed up if I’m wrong, but… isn’t the Vatican walking a fine line between Ukraine and Russia, with the UGCC legitimately concerned on one side; and trying to get closer to the ROC in hopes of eventual reunification on the other? Maybe encouraging aid for Ukraine is the way to cool tension for the legitimately grievance UGCC.
