Vatican, Dec. 19, 2007 (CWNews.com)- The official Vatican newspaper has sharply criticized the film The Golden Compass, describing it as offering the spirit of “anti-Christmas.”
The movie starting Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, based on the trilogy His Dark Materials, by Philip Pullman, is “Gnostic” and “dehumanizing,” according to L’Osservatore Romano. “It is a film that reflects the coldness and desperation of rebellion, solitude, and individualism.”

But why so late? It has already been released worldwide. It’s not doing well in America but over seas it is doing quite well.

They were “late” possibly to not “promote it” by making note of it.

Personally I think ALL the actors, and backstage folks, most especially Kidman, should be email/mail bombarded with sympathy prayers for her conversion back to the faith for her scandalous behavior.

She’s a grown-up. Her protestations aside, she can certainly handle massive quantities of charitable assistance.
