They can’t call themselves faithful to the Church. But sin doesn’t de-baptize you (CCC §1272), so if they were baptized, they will always be Catholics.
True, like a spouse’s unfaithfulness or betrayal to marital vows does not by itself invalidate a sacramental marriage. It leads to unhappiness in the union and in the home, unless reconciliation with forgiveness and correction of wrongdoing ensues, meaning the unfaithfulness stops.

The betrayed spouse is not expected to endorse the infidelity of his or her mate.

Why would homosexual Catholics expect endorsement by the Church of their rejection of teaching on homosexual acts and marriage?

It’s what many Catholics do these days. 🤷

It’s not supposed to be normal but it’s reached the point wherein it is. I think we should recognize the fact that many Catholics… don’t actually follow Church teaching as serious enough as most of us are, and that I think is something that should be addressed if we want to do internal evangelization.
Excellent point. Its so important for committed Catholics to get other like minded folks involved.

There’s a new book out entitled “Making Gay OK” and the author was interviewed this morning on EWTN radio. He talked about the act of sodomy being unnatural and disordered and how some LGBT groups are attempting to “sacramentalize” an unholy relationship. He pointed out that 2 women or 2 men who love each other is good but that the expression of that love through sodomy is non-procreative, unhealthy cause it can lead to STD’s HIV. Our bodies know that it’s wrong and will react negatively to it.

That’s like saying I want a completion for all the assigned homework even though I didn’t do all of them, or saying I want the Silver Star (Army valor medal) but I wasn’t in any situation where there was an attack on my troop. Anyone who has rightfully been given the Silver Medal - and in my case I buy purchase it from a PX shop – and knows I wasn’t actually commissioned is in his right to call me out as a poser.
He pointed out that 2 women or 2 men who love each other is good
Good in what way? Automatically good because of this feeling of “love”? I “love” my best friend who’s a guy, but it’s purely platonic. I love my brother, but it’s purely sibling love. I love my uncles but it’s isn’t out of any romantic feelings.

As followers of Christ we are called to “love one another as I have loved you”. In the book I mentioned, the author is stating that love between 2 males or 2 females is good in and of itself. He most likely means phillial love more commonly known as brotherly love not erotic love. There is also agape which is unconditional love such as the love between a father and his son.

not all catholics are roman by the way. so yes you can be catholic and be against the ROMAN catholic church’s teachings.

i think people are starting to realize the Church’s teachings aren’t consistent with modern studies that show that homosexuality is part of someone and isn’t wrong. remember that the catechism was written at a time when no such studies could possibly be carried out. and by the way, Christ didn’t start the Catholic Church. Peter did, and he was no less human than his fellow apostles.

You are 100% wrong.
Modern studies have not shown that homosexuality is part of someone.
They might choose to take part in a homosexual act. But they don’t have to.
