After a leading German bishop questioned the Church’s teaching on divorce and remarriage, the Vatican’s newspaper printed an essay by Pope Benedict XVI, then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, in which he states that the teaching is uncomfortable but grounded in truth.

I believe you are being unfair to geese. If I’m not mistaken, they mate for life. If that is the case, they are not “loose.” 🙂

And that is why we need the pope, our holy father. what is wrong with these bishops, they keep going away from the Truth more and more. We are left with the holy Bishop to bring them back to the Truth over and over.

And that is good that the holy father is making things clear to all. Catholics are being testing hard. the holy father points out how the Eastern Orthodox churches have sucumbed to divorce and remarriage. He says that this practice was never accepted by the Catholic Church. Nicely done holy father. Bring them all back to the Word of God.
 
It would be good to know the Church is going to deal with so many Catholics who are divorced and remarried and remarried again and Catholics who married divorcees and stil go to the Eucharist every chance they get.
