I respect Pope Francis and I appreciate him as my leader in the faith. However, this statement of being ‘appalled’ strikes me like vinegar in an open wound. I love the french people and lived in France several years and have much appreciation for their culture. I am in no way shape or form justifying the murder of the innocent and attacks on civilians.
However, Pope Francis remained silent when hundreds of children were being shredded into pieces and the whole population of Gaza was being terrorized Summer of 2014. Why was he not appalled then?
This situation sends a bad message to the world. French lives are worth more than the Muslim lives - if this is the position of the Pope - I vehemently disagree. Otherwise, he would be wise to redirect his diplomatic approach.
I also have no appreciation for the ad on that website that calls to adopt a Christian child from Mosul. I don’t have a preference - Christian or Muslim - they are human beings and are all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

Again, I respect the Pope and this is the first time I have ever disagreed in public with a pope, but, it is important to me.
