During the Angelus, Pope Francis called on the faithful to listen to the tolling of ‘Maria Dolens,’ the bell blessed by Pope Paul VI in honour of the Fallen of all Wars. He also noted two banners in the square that said “Peace is always possible” and “Prayer is the root of peace”. He called on those present to greet Mary as “Holy Mother of God!”, and urged them to find the date of their baptism, the “feast day” in which we received the “love, tenderness, and mercy of the heavenly Father.”
