During the Angelus, Pope Francis condemned the theft and publication of classified documents as “a crime” and “a mistake”, a “deplorable act that does not help” because “both I and my advisers were well acquainted with” them. The crowd applauds when the pontiff calls for “the support of the whole Church” to continue the “reform project”. The widow in the Gospel is “an ideal example of a Christian” because she did not give up the “superfluous” but gave with all “her heart."
