So, what is the true skinny on this?? If it is true, this is terrible news for the Church! If it isn’t true, then of what value does Kissinger have to offer that the Pope would invite him to speak to a group of people?

Oh that’s just the rumor mill and the internet gone wild for a second. Never put it past Kissinger though to add more to his “prestige” than is given.

The only thing Kissinger ever did in a Catholic Church was give the funeral oration at William F. Buckley’s funeral.

Kissinger just loves meeting the famous and being hoity-toity. That’s all!

Thanks for chiming in…but I’d like more verification. Any sort of corroboration of the Vatican with Kissinger is mortal, imho.

I could find absolutely no corroboration whatsoever for this, just denials, so I think one can rest assured nobody in the Vatican is being advised by Kissinger. Just one of those viral rumors on the internet.
