Vatican praise for Muslims
A senior Vatican cardinal has thanked Muslims for bringing God back into the public sphere in Europe and said believers of different faiths had no option but to engage in dialogue.
Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Catholic Church’s department for interfaith contacts, said religion was now talked and written about more than ever before in today’s Europe.
‘It’s thanks to the Muslims,’ he said in a speech printed in L’Osservatore Romano, the official newspaper of the Vatican. ‘Muslims, having become a significant minority in Europe, were the ones who demanded space for God in society.’
Vatican officials have longed bemoaned the secularisation of Europe, where Church attendances has dwindled dramatically in recent decades, and urged a return to its historically Christian roots.
‘We live in multicultural and multireligious societies,’ Tarun said. ‘There is no civilisation that is religiously pure.’
COMMENT: Does anyone in Christendom know what ‘dialogue’ means? Does Rome now consider an Arian god acceptable as God? Why have Church attendances - and every other aspect of Christianity – dwindled in recent decades? Does anyone think that when Cardinal Tarun urges a ‘return to Europe’s historical Christian roots; he means the KINGSHIP of Christ dominating over all people?

It saddens me to see that even in the Vatican the politically correct agenda is present. While I understand what the Cardinal is trying to convey. The the European Muslims are simply trying to “demand space for God in society”. They have proclaimed that they not only wish to live under Sharia law, but that Sharia should be the law of the land. Under which non-Muslims would live as Dhimmis. I realize this sounds xenophobic. But that is the reality they face. With the immigration of radical Immams from the Middle East, the European Muslim population is becoming radicalized. Witness the Fench “Youth riots” the murder of Theo Van Gogh, The Feyenoord soccer stadium Riots, I can go on and on. I wish it was not true but if the Vatican wants a partner to bring God back into the lives of Europeans. They need a partner who will be willing to actually be an EQUAL partner. Not one that wants political power and to recounquer Europe. Besides it’s questionable that Muslims belive in the true Abrahamic God. If they did they would not insist on using only the name Allah when refering to God. They would have no problem using the name of Yaweh such as we sometimes do. There is credibility to the concept that Allah was a Pagan moon god that Muhammed simply elevated to the status of “The God” which is what Allah means. Why else is the cresent the symbol of Islam?
