The previous poster is right.

The Cardinal is thanking the Muslims for causing us to think about religion in general. They are causing Europeans to stop and consider their beliefs, wereas before, the vast majority of people had all but forgotten about God, or any god nevermind the true Christian Lord.
Muslims believe in God like we do. I is just that they do not believe in the Trinity, and this can be traced back to the fact that Muhammad was influenced by the Ebonites, a heretical Christian sect. And to answer the original post; I do not like the fact Europeans are turning to Islam rather then Christianity, but I guess God is punishing Christians for allowing abortion in America, Canada, etc. Some Christians allow abortions, Muslims last time I checked would never in a billion years allow a single abortion. Muslims also do not allow fornication, at all!

Europe is Christian land and it will stick to its culture.
Do you also believe in the Easter Bunny . Last time I checked Europe was agnostic. I rather be a Muslim then an agnostic any day. One of my best friends practices Islam.

We should all give thanks to Muslims. Just imagine how many flight training schools would be out of business if it wasn’t for Allah.

Yeah, but they are a-ok with killing, torturing, raping, kidnapping, enslaving, stealing from and lying to non-muslims. In islam that is all ok to do to non-muslims.

Their sharia law, based on the koran, has nothing about doing those things against non-muslims - and even muslim women can be ‘honor killed’ and nothing will happen to the muslim male.

I think before espousing something you should do some reading on what islam is really all about.

jihadwatch.org is a good place to start.

‘useful idiot’

Here is what muslims do to their children and notice that the muslims in the West do nothing to stop it - or riot or say anything about it. And if you get the excuse they are not responsible for the atrocities of others - they certainly know how to gather together for a parade, or to riot about cartoons, or celebrate after 9/11!

boy suicide bomber:

behead those who insult islam:

Child militancy:

forced conversion in islam:

Palestinian children as warriers:

boy beheading a man:

It has been a cause for concern for the past couple of years of how many children ages 6-10 that are being trained for jihadists. And their families get rewarded monitarily for this type of behavior.

Oh, and they don’t believe in abortion and are looked on as better by some! /sarc 🤷

😛 funny, Maybe

I would rather be an agnostic than fall prey to the fangs of a religion, that follows a man who was an adulterer, bandit, immoral, inhuman, looter, lecher, misogynist, murderer, materialistic, narcissist, pedophile, raider, rapist, assasin, slavetrader, sexmaniac, terrorist, torturer, unfair, vengeful warlord.–Thanks R_not

Can we add more, heretic, moongod worshipper, liar, opportunist, thief, blackmailer, deceiver, pretender, hot tempered, inconsistent messenger of the hell god.

I was told the Indian Muslims offer prayers in the form of Nafl Sa’lah to guarantee her salvation.
I am afraid it’s not allowed. We can offer prayer for non-Muslims as long as they are alive.

If one dies without sincere repentance for worhiping other diety besides God , then there is no reward for him/her on the last day.
Those Muslims have any any news of repentance before her death ?

Whether Islam allows it or not, does not really concern Mother Teresa or Christians in general. As far as i am concerned, Mother Teresa has already paid her dues as a dutiful Christian and she is in heaven with Our Father. Christians do not need the approval of Islam to gain entry into heaven, since their reward system is altogether different than Christianity’s.

He should be thanking Muslims or thanking God for that , I mean if I’m lost in the desert and an atheist have found me and saved me, then should I thank him or thank God because He sent him to me in one way or another?
What dose the whole L’Osservatore Romano article say? I want the full context before I believe this new story. Because I know news reporters like to take things out of context.

That would imply a level of intellectual involvement - ‘indifference’ would be a much more accurate description.
An atheist acquaintance of mine uses the made up word “apatheist”. He says it means he is apathetic about god and religion.

US Church Hosts Muslim Worshippers

http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/...goBlobs&blobwhere=1221557710376&ssbinary=true

A church in the north-central US state of Wisconsin is hosting Muslim worshippers to perform prayers twice a day, reported the Journal Sentinel on Saturday, November 29.

“We’re very grateful to the church,” said local Muslim leader Ajaz Qhavi.

The Faith Presbyterian Church in Franklin city in southern Wisconsin has allowed Muslims to perform prayers five days a week.

Since last week, Muslims have gathered at the Church’s Sunday school space to perform the Fajr (Dawn) and Isha (night) prayers.

The Islamic Center of Milwaukee pays a nominal rental fee to cover church expenses.

The move was taken as there are no close mosques for Muslims to perform their prayers.

Hi

I thank the Presbyterian Church for making this charitable move. I thought the Catholics should have been the first to do it! Well, one is never late in doing a good thing. The Catholics, Protestants and JWs could provide this facility now.

Thanks

You lack of research is profounding and also very biased. The Catholic Churches in Europe have long catered to Muslim immigrants. Allowing them to use the Church as a mosque, even covering the icons and statues of saints with drapes so as to not offend Muslims who use their premises. One German parish even collected donations from its parishioners to help the Muslim migrants build a mosque (Read Catholic Church collects money for mosque). Despite this generosity, Muslims have also used this opportunity as refugees to desecrate Churches. There is also one of several incidents in Iraq this time, when Muslims stormed into a Catholic Church, killed its clergy and turned it into a mosque. I guess this is what Catholics get for being kind to their Muslim neighbours. What do you have to say about such?

My friend,I also think that he should be thanking God but I do not know why he thanked muslims.Though many Christian fellows explained it here(in this thread) but I am still upset.I just want to say I want to serve Jesus and I do not care anything except Jesus.Like I was upset with a part of CCC what says the same God theory. But here a sister explained me about that and then my mind cooled down…Btw, finally I want to say if I have to compromise with islam then I only can say that, perhaps my atheist life was better than my present life because as an atheist I never compromised with islam before. So I am not ready to compromise with islam or muslims, never ever. But I know that I am Christian for Lord Jesus, not for any cardinal, any organization or others.Jesus bless and save you amen.

U misunderstood my post. I meant Muslims are not allowed to pray for non-Muslims if they die without repentance. I did not say , If we pray only then they will go to heaven .

Hi

Bad for my ignorance; but I thought, a well intended thought, that the Catholics should have excelled in every charitable work. So, your post informs me that Catholics were already doing it. Good for Catholics. With the good people like this, I am sure this world will get saved from the present upsurge of terrorism.

Thanks

:aok: Good point, maybe someone from the Vatican can help us here.

Yes, in other words, Islam is a very closed and biased religion. Whereas Christianity prays for all who died - with or without repentence.

Unfortunately, Islam does nothing to free innocents from terror. It does not matter to them if Christians or Jews or Hindus have shown them generousity and kindness. They will take advantage as soon as opportunity arises.

Morning_star, what can make this situation better for you? Surely, being an atheist is not better than living for Christ, right? I am concerned that you should speak this way, though I understand your frustration.

I know I have posted in this thread already, but I just want to reiterate my position so that perhaps we can discuss how you see this situation, too. I personally do not see it as any sort of compromise with Islam on any theological or moral grounds, because from what I have been told the situation in Europe is not so much Christianity vs. Islam, but agnosticism/atheism vs. Islam. I do not believe that atheism can stand up to the challenges of Islam, and I think that those societies that have stopped listening to the church should realize the errors they have made, and if it takes the presence of radical Muslims to shock society from its atheism, then that is good. Ultimately I think it comes down to the fact that no one can hang on to a belief in nothing as tightly as the religious people hang onto their belief in something, and since the Church does not have the power to simply force people to come back to it (and wouldn’t do so even if it did, I think), this look at how life could be in an Islamicized Europe might help people who were previously ambivalent about religion realize that they cannot afford to be so anymore even if still no one can force them to go to Mass.

Is this not a reasonable position? How do you see things, as an ex-Muslim who has come to Christ?
