Ask her this… “And where in the bible does it say that you are married in the sight of God? Who told you that you are married in the eyes of God?”
Peter,

I can tell you one thing with nearly 90 percent certianty about her. She would never believe all possible truth is contained in a book, no matter how it is titled or how it ranks with believers. Unless, of course she has undergone hypnosis or some other trickery.

Unfortunately, right now it seems she believes all or nearly all possible truth is contained in a single person, who clearly is not following the bible or any other holy book. I need to stop right there because I can’t comment on him anymore without jepordizing my case against him and the claims he has made about himself to her.

Well, the reason I asked the question that way is that she believes she is married in the eyes of God. I would simply ask her the question, what makes her think that? I also do not understand why she would trust some individual without question, but she would never believe that she could find and trust the truth found in the bible.

Well I do not want you to jeopardize you case in any way. This guy needs to go to jail. I wish he would not call himself a Christian, because this is NOT a Christian thing to do. I will continue to pray for the safety of your niece.

By the way, I do not believe that all possible truth is found in the Bible. I would say the Catholic Church would also say that not all possible truth is found in the Bible. I know you have important things take care of and this is almost a side conversation, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

Thanks for continuing to pray.

Wanted to let everyone know she is at least safe with family now finally. We are keeping her with a family member at all times.

I’m glad you mentioned the bible part here, and I agree with the catholic view on that. Maybe I will start a thread about that, asking questions from people who disagree to explain their reliance on only the bible as a means of truth revealed.

But, catholic or not *all of you christians *have really grown on me. Surprisingly so.

No problem with side conversations. Helps keep my mind off other thoughts.

Continuing to pray. . . .

#1 before question are asked, my name is h3ritic because I am refered to by many Catholics as a heretic.

#2 With non-denominational, there may be no written structure, but GOD leads the church and creats the structure and every decision must be lead by the holy spirit (acts 1:4) and you must wait for it and not force GODS hands by votes or lots (acts 1:26).

#3 obviously this was not a GOD lead decision, but we know that, and the people in the church should know what is and isn’t GOD, without that, then yes it is dangerous. Am I saying the guy is right - NO. What I am saying is that there are going to be people like this and it is up to you to now the bible and compare every controversal situation with the bibles teachings and what GOD tells you.

#4 You cannot blame the Non-Denominational churches for this. Yes there are bad apples, but those ppl are the ones that are not following GODs orders and are listening to the enemy.

#5 Jesus told Peter(rock) that he would build his church upon him, the question never asked is “Did Peter obey GOD’s command entirely?”

#6 Persuing this in anger is not what Jesus would do. You should persue it with consern and compasion, for GOD will handle the situation if you allow him, but he will do it in his time.

Everything has a purpose whether good or bad. You must have faith that GOD will handle it in his own time. Taking matter in your own hands is not the will of GOD and though it is hard to put faith in such a thing, you must.

I love you all and am saying this in compassion, don’t be misled, follow GOD’s command.

thank you,
h3ritic
