Please pray.
I’m a shut in with chronic illness and depressed.

Would be especially grateful for a friend who could visit weekly.

Help my friend who is suffering from chronic illness & depression.
Grant her the peace only You can.
Bring visitors to her to distract her from her pain.

I have been praying to St. Dymphna…who helps with people with emotional
disturbances…she really!!! does help!!!
also, call your parish and ask them for someone to visit you. there
usually are people who want to do something and visiting you would help
them also…and while you are talking to the office ask them to put
your name on the parish sick list…which will also draw many more prayers
for you…and…go to 'the Apostleshipship of Prayer" website.
there you will find a beautiful prayer said every morning --with that prayer you
will be offering “all your prayers, joys, works and sufferings of the day for the
intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus…”
I find that the times I am down and out and saying that prayer helps me
every day feel like I am doing something for someone somewhere that may not
have prayers said for them and/or help them. also you can be put on there
regular mailing list and receive our Pope’s monthly intentions.
and pray…pray…pray…and when your prayers start being answered
you will wish you started sooner…will be saying WOW’s!!! and many more
wonderful and amazing gifts…will be delivered!!!
and lastly…don’t be too hard on yourself…

O Lady of Mental Peace,

to know that God’s Love

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal roseofshannon. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into roseofshannon’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

A Prayer Against Depression

O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,

Heavenly Father, we pray today for the sick and shut-in. We ask that You send Your healing power down upon them and make them whole. Comfort them, O Lord, and be with them in their isolation. Strengthen them in Your Word and the promise of eternal salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

We ask that You fill our hearts with compassion for those who need our help. Help us to see past our selfishness and be good servants so that we will be worthy when we are weak and crying out for succor.

These things we pray in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
