Here is a great homily by an Orthodox Archbishop in the United States. May Our Lord send more of his kind our way.

Archbishop Sample is not "O"rthodox! He is Roman Catholic.Here is a great homily by an Orthodox Archbishop in the United States. May Our Lord send more of his kind our way.

I don’t disagree with your response, but for a slight suggestion that “Mass” be capitalized.Archbishop Sample is not "O"rthodox! He is Roman Catholic.
The EF needs no defense. It is an official and appropriate form of liturgy within the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church, just as is the Ordinary Form of the mass.

“Orthodox” needs to be lower-cased.Here is a great homily by an Orthodox Archbishop in the United States. May Our Lord send more of his kind our way.

Why please must “orthodox” be placed as an adjective before “Archbishop” at all?“Orthodox” needs to be lower-cased.
Orthodox= Orthodox Christianity
orthodox= sound or correct in doctrine
Why must it not? Does it really matter?Why please must “orthodox” be placed as an adjective before “Archbishop” at all?
I disagree, because there are many over the past few decades who have not considered it an “appropriate form of liturgy”. Perhaps you won’t find this at CAF, but I would venture to say that it’s an idea still prevalent in many places.The EF needs no defense. Excellent:thumbsup: I love the sermon, and LOVE this Archbishop! Awesome!Here is a great homily by an Orthodox Archbishop in the United States. May Our Lord send more of his kind our way.

Yes, a Catholic Archbishop is a a Catholic Archbishop, full stop.Why must it not? Does it really matter?
Gives you an idea of the times we live in no? We must pledge obedience to the Bishops, this is true. However, that doesn’t mean that these Bishops withhold all of the true teachings of the Church.Why please must “orthodox” be placed as an adjective before “Archbishop” at all?
I agree with steymard. In theory, the EF should not require any defense; in practice and actuality, I believe that it indeed needs advocates, both within the clergy and among the faithful.I disagree, because there are many over the past few decades who have not considered it an “appropriate form of liturgy”. It was obviously made for a video audience. So how many the chapel actually holds is probably as irrelevant as how many EWTN chapels hold.Their chapel seats about 50 laity on the lay side of the screen; choir looks like it could seat about 20 or so monks. They do not ordain any priests, as last I heard.
This was excellent. Thank you for sharing. Now try to get your parish to offer the EF. I have tried with 2 pastors and was told no.Here is a great homily by an Orthodox Archbishop in the United States. May Our Lord send more of his kind our way.

No clue; the first I heard of it was on this forum. My comments were simply to explain where this took place.It was obviously made for a video audience. So how many the chapel actually holds is probably as irrelevant as how many EWTN chapels hold.
