The Catholics in Aleppo could not have a Marian procession for the last 6 years because the war there made it too dangerous. Now there is peace in this city. This procession goes through the streets of Aleppo from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
You may want to watch just the first parts of this rather long video. The part of the video after the procession ends is of less interest.

I needed a little cheering up about the state of the world!

Does anyone recognise the hymn? The “Ave Maria” chorus is Latin, but I can’t make out the words in the verses, whether they’re Latin or not. They all sing quite nicely too.
