Why should we accept the magisterial authority of the guy who runs amazingfacts.org?

Why should we accept his tradition? I would rather accept the Apostolic tradition instead.

Interesting fact: You remember Thomas the Apostle, right? “Doubting Thomas”? After Pentecost, he went off all the way to the southern tip of India and founded a church there. For 1,800 years it was separated from the rest of the Catholic Church until it was discovered by Portuguese explorers in 1845. This Church is the Syro-Malabar and Syro-Malankara Church - otherwise known as St. Thomas Christians. They go to divine liturgy every Sunday - obviously the Catholic Church had no influence on their decision to do so for they were doing it long before they were reunited with the rest of the Church!

That is a fact.

You’re accepting the interpretation of scripture of Pastor Doug Batchelor.

Violation of sola scriptura.

You’re supposed to stick to the Bible alone remember? (and the “Bible alone” doctrine is not in the Bible anyway - it is a man-made tradition)
 
Looks like you have no intention of answering any questions.

You obviously accept this pastor’s interpretation of scripture on 100% blind faith, and now you keep spamming his links, expecting us to accept his pastor’s interpretation of scripture (tradition) and magisterial authority on blind faith as you have.

You haven’t shown me in the OT where the Sabbath was Saturday - you only gave me your interpretation of those verses (and you didn’t bother even proving the Apostles held to the interpretation of scripture you’re holding to)

So, stop spamming and answer the questions.

We’re not going to accept this pastor’s interpretation of scripture, for there is no proof it is based on the Apostles interpretation of scripture. Not one.

Are you listening to me when I asked you to post Bible verses that have this tradition of yours?

or are you just going to continue spamming this guy’s site?

Just because you accept his man-made tradition doesn’t mean we must do so.

We’ll hold to the original gospel (Galatians 1:9) thank you very much, which includes the Apostles interpretation of scripture (not this guy’s)

Why doesn’t the Bible teach your tradition? Because it is false.

Instead of spamming, post the part in the Bible that “7th day” means “Saturday” like your tradition says.

If you can’t, post me apostolic writings (that are not in the Bible) where the Apostles were recorded as interpreting those verses you posted.

Thank you for spamming, by your own reaction and knowledge throughout of this thread, I’ve become to know more about your own belief and your church; thus, I hold fast to the Sacred Tradition, the Bible, and my beloved Catholic belief. 😃

If you come here trying to convince people, do it with love not the opposite, my friend.

WARNING!!!

Since this thread appears to have become a contest as to who can post the most material, it seems to be serving no purpose of discussion and it is closed.

Figure out how to talk with one another in a civil and charitable manner and initiate a thread in which to do so.

Failing the test of doing so in a subsequent thread that takes on this appearance will have consequences for ALL concerned - I see NO innocent parties here.
