In the name of Islam - much violence is done - not just in the past but today as well…

More than 10,000 Christians have been killed since 1999 in Nigeria and nearly 1,000 homes and churches have been burned down by Muslim radicals-all because of their faith in Jesus Christ.
**Davou Bulle, his wife, and their 10 children each climbed into the van, exhausted from another full day of work on their family’s farm. He started to pull away but was soon jarred to attention by the sound of gunshots hitting the tires. They were being ambushed because of his faith!

The Muslim attackers soon aimed their weapons at the driver, in hopes to first kill the Christian “infidel” then kill his entire family. In an attempt to protect his father, son Gyan lunged at the bullets to shield him, but the bullets found their way to their intended target, killing Davou. Gyan trying to help his father took 14 bullets during the ambush. Davou’s wife Mary was hit in the eye.

Mary was taken into surgery immediately. She lost one of her eyes as a result of the attack. Son Gyan was also operated on, removing all 14 bullets from his body, miraculously he survived! Davou left behind a wife and 10 children.

This is so very sad.

**Yes, that is the “peaceful” religion of Islam that Muslims keep trying to convince us is full of mercy and compassion! Their actions speak a lot louder than their words. Islam is not and never has been a religion of “peace”, it’s full of hatred, intolerance and bigotry and they seem to think that they have the God given right to commit murder, all the time invoking the holy name of God and they’re going to get a “reward” in heaven for “killing the infidel”. **

There must be something very wrong with a religion, which while calling itself “peaceful” inspires such demons as Osama bin Laden and company to commit such terrible atrocities and induces brainwashed Muslims to strap a bomb to themselves, go to a crowded place and detonate the bomb! That is the Muslim version of “martyrdom”, murder and suicide! For this you get a one way ticket to paradise and the men get 74 virgins to ravish! Lunatics!

How can anyone believe they will be rewarded by God for such atrocities? Hillaire Belloc said that the Muslim mentality is “fanatical and bloodthirsty” and how right he was! Oh yes, they pray a lot and then go out and kill people with great abandon, even other Muslims, still invoking the name of God! Lunatics!

Donna…that is not Islam. Islam does NOT condone these actions. Please try to separate individual muslims from Islam.

this is a verse in the Quran…

"… if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. (Chapter #5, Verse #32)

May God grant you the light to see true Islam through the darkness of those who call themselves muslim. Ameen

I’m so weak…I tried not to write anything but I can not help it.

When Jesus Christ was harrassed and called a liar and a magician. How did he react? I just want you to think about that…and try, just try to be anything close to what Jesus was. May God’s peace and blessings be upon him.

We are all human beings. We are not perfect. Some Christians can also be amongst the most evil people. Just because a handful are evil doesn’t mean all are evil. Also, we all have the chance to repent while on this earth. At judgement day justice will be served.

Yes, there may be some Christians who are evil, but our religion doesn’t teach us that we commit atrocities against other people! Everything about our faith is about love and forgiveness. Jesus taught us that we have to love our enemies and forgive them but there’s just too much violence in the teachings of Mohammed for comfort.

We had a terrible evil perpetrated against unsuspecting people on Sept. 11. Some people may claim that this was just radicals that committed this atrocity but there’s just too much of this happening all over the world where there’s a majority of Muslims . It just goes against their telling us that their religion is peaceful!

That’s my two cents’ worth for the day.
 
How come all these peaceful Moslems are not over there straightening out the non peaceful Moslems ? Its nice to sit in this country espousing what the “true” Islam is but do nothing about it. And then is peace really for the infidels ?

There is no authority to tell one side or the other which is the authentic Muslim.

If that is the case, then we merely judge Islam by what we see Muslims doing. Nothing wrong with that. If Muslims don’t want to be identified with the terrorists, then perhaps they should do something about them. As long as we hear of imams preaching hatred for the west and encouraging violent acts, I see no reason for changing my opinion just because someone comes on this forum and says Islam is peaceful.

Hello Maranatha,

The authentic Muslim is the one who follows the Quran and the Sunnah. Every Muslim knows this, and the ones that commit evil, KNOW they are committing evil.

It is like homosexual priests. At the end of the day the Bible says Homosexuality is wrong, and any way you work it, it is unacceptable.

You don’t need an authority to straighten out evil in any religion.

Thanks. If two scholars disagree on an interpretation of the Qur’an or the Sunnah, which do you follow?

The difference is, when a Christian commits terrible evils we can direct him to the life of Jesus Christ and the life of His first followers.

When a Muslim commits terrible evils, where do you direct him? Muhammed who, after being expelled from Mecca, amassed a large following in Medina and then laid seige to Mecca to conquer his adversaries? Or how about the 1st of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, Abu Bakr who, after the death of Muhammaed, began a phase of Islamic miltant expansion that lasted for 1000 years?

When we disagree with Protestants, Catholics can back up their claims with those of the first Christians because who knows Christ and what he taught better than his first followers?

Who knows Islam better than its first followers?
