“At least 10 people were arrested and many others bloodied and bruised as a Berkeley rally supporting President Trump turned violent Saturday when fistfights broke out between marchers and counterprotesters, and crowds of masked anarchists joined the fray.”

Berkeley again. “Love Trumps Hate.” Sure…
It’s Berkeley, California and near UC Berkeley campus. What on earth did pro-Trump protesters expect would happen? Nonetheless, I condemn violence in any form and protesters should be allowed to speak their mind anywhere.

How sad how low some people will stoop in a protest to actually hurt another person.

Mary.

Burning American flags

If Hillary were now President and*** her ***opponents were burning American flags, would there be a quite justified outcry?
The flag signifies the USA, more than it signifies a temporary president. Burning it points towards disrespect of the nation…and worse.

Anarchists…depending on who’s in power.

i’m an Australian, but it still makes me sick. In fact, i pray for President Trump and his government that God will use him for good purposes, as He has with others in the past (eg Cyrus).

I find it particularly disturbing that the police were instructed to refrain from intervening right away. Apparently if you support Trump, you should not expect that law enforcement will do their duty.

thank you for your prayers for our president.

Praying for injured and all involved, that any future protests may occur in a peaceful manner.

I would think that people in America would be able to protest wherever publicly.

But since everyone and their dog has been making lame excuses for the regressive left…

I wonder what would happen if there was a fist-fight at a pride parade and I said the same thing.

Berkeley used to be for free speech. Now it’s just a timid colony for the regressive left and anarchists who act clueless.

The expectation is that if you live in a city run by a liberal mayor, they will order the police to stand down I think hoping this results in violence or at the very least intimidates Trump supporters from not expressing themselves.

It was mentioned that there were some Trump supporters at a recent Chicago protest.

People can be civil when they want to be.

I wonder if Berkeley will be where the first shots of war are born.

Well, having spent considerable time there, I’d guess that few of the mostly leftist citizens of Berkeley own firearms.
Yeah, I always think that too. But extremists seem to find ways to justify thier hypocrisy.

Well they don’t issue CCW permits in Alameda or SF counties and shooting ranges are few and far between…
Outside of the East Oakland etc.criminal element-- who I doubt would take any particular side–I don’t think the Bay Area as a whole is much of a militant threat.

The issue is the culture in all of this. They know to some degree they can get away with it.

That’s the unwritten rule here.

Yeah, they would need foreign or UN help. Even they got it, I do not see any realistic scenario where the People’s Republic of California would defeat the US military.

I was unaware anarchists and groups like the black panthers applied for CCw permits…
They sure can be armed though!!!
There were a few militant leftist groups in the sixties that were quite known for militia like tactics.

I’m not sure the “make love not war” movement exists anymore.

Well with Souros’ money behind the anarchists (and isn’t that ironic) who can say for certain?

thank you for your prayers for our president.
Pleasure!

The Battle of Lepanto was won by prayer; and Cardinal Burke’s 54-day novena must have helped to save the day last year. This business may be God’s way to make most of us take praying more seriously. (Guilty as charged!😊)
We’re involved in spiritual warfare with a vengeance.
