I looked at it sure looks to me like the miscreants were the guys in black who are actually anarchists just there to start trouble.

It wouldn’t take much to create a barroom brawl situation though and that sounds like just what happened.

No, you are not. Just two weeks ago, threats of violence forced a cancellation of some speaker. Berkeley is weak on violent behavior and has allowed it to flourish.

I was unaware anarchists and groups like the black panthers applied for CCw permits…
They sure can be armed though!!!
There were a few militant leftist groups in the sixties that were quite known for militia like tactics.

I’m not sure the “make love not war” movement exists anymore.

It doesn’t. I’m wondering how it’ll be before they kill Christians and stand in a circle around the bodies shouting “love and peace! love and peace!”.
