Some media reports claim that an American gay group received VIP treatment at a recent general audience with the Pope. But Vatican sources say they knew nothing of the presence of this group, who sat in a general audience area, where all requests are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. It has no VIP area and no reserved chairs for groups.
