I have been to the seminary before where I spent seven years as a religious seminarian. I went through Pre-Novitiate, Novitiate, Philosophy and one year pastoral work. There most remarkable essence about seminary training is that it forms you to stand out among your peers.
However, I left the seminary because the priest I was with during my one year pastoral work had frustrated my life to the point that I had no option than to leave the religious life painfully.
Four years after I have left the seminary, I have now come to accept the fact that I have made a great mistake for leaving the seminary. My thirst and desire for the priesthood has now become a burning zeal that I hardly do go to mass without weeping during consecretion. I always have the feeling that I have betrayed the vows I have made to my God. That I will serve in his vineyard for the rest of my life.
Having realized that priesthood is my vocation, I have made several attempts to be incorporated into the diocesan seminary but my entire attempt failed. The vocation director told me that the policy of the bishop is that he should not accept ex-seminarians. I have made several attempts to try dioceses outside my region but they said I have to be a resident in the diocese before my request could be considered.
I am humbly placing my request before to anyone who could help me in any form to get back to the seminary either as a religious or as a diocesan. For I am now 34 years and age is not at my side. I could be contacted at (agbocum@yahoo.co.uk )Thanks may God bless you all.
