How is that the standard of morality? Just because an overall evil entity happens to provide services that are in and of themselves good does not excuse the moral worthlessness of said entity. They can cure all the sick children they want: Unless and until they reject their centuries old objective of destroying the Catholic Church they are evil. One cannot be outspokenly opposed to Christ and His Church and be morally good in any way.Let’s go back to the original post. No the Shriner’s are not evil in the context of the work they do to support the hospital.
However you may perceive them they do in this case provide a valuable service
If one is interested in helping sick and disabled children there are numerous other ways of doing so. One does not need to associate themselves with such an organization.
