There is nothing wrong with bringing about biblical change. Catholic priests did do what they did. THere’s no mistaking that.
However, VOTF has many, many, many BAD ideas for the Catholic Church. The vast majority are unbilbical. There is NO wiggle room on a number of “hot button” issues they believe should be changed. I think this group will end up hurting the Catholic Church like Vicky Robinson did for Episcopalian Church.
What does “inclusive” mean Katherine? Inclusive how and for what reasons?
Oh, please believe me. I don’t believe the majority of priests did either. I believe the vast majority of clergy in the Christian faith are adhearing to God’s work and doing so honorably. There are pastor’s/priests from all denominations that have done this. However, I do believe some reforms/background checking or something has to happen at seminaries.
I don’t think the focus has been lost though. It is a major concern for the Catholic Church because it is so hierarchial. I don’t think there are many people who would say that that issue was swept under the rug at seminary school either.
