Most souls go to hell for the lust of the flesh- our lady of fatima

We don’t know when we will die but will we be in a state of grace when God says that was your life.

I try to examine my self at night before I go to sleep and pray the act of contrition and three hail marys and a fatima prayer three times.

I know most of you are adults.

Hell is not ment to scare people into believing it is a warning as a loving father would warn his son if he were to do something dangerous.

Yup, it is prayed on your standard rosary. And much like the Divine Mercy Chaplet it comes with promises made by our Lord Jesus Christ.

PROMISES OF OUR LORD FOR THOSE WHO PRACTISE THIS DEVOTION:
  1. At each word that you pronounce of the Chaplet of the Holy Wounds, I allow a drop of My Blood to fall upon the soul of a sinner.
  2. Each time that you offer to My Father the merits of My Divine Wounds, you win an immense fortune.
  3. Souls that will have contemplated and honoured My crown of thorns on earth, will be My crown of glory in Heaven.
  4. I will grant all that is asked of Me through the invocation of My Holy Wounds. You. Will obtain everything, because it is through the merit of My Blood, which is of infinite price. With My Wounds and My Divine Heart, everything can be obtained.
  5. From My Wounds proceed fruits of sanctity. As gold purified in the crucible becomes more beautiful, so you must put your soul and those of your companions into My sacred Wounds; there they will become perfected as gold in the furnace. You can always purify yourself in My Wounds.
  6. My Wounds will repair yours. My Wounds will cover all your faults. Those who honour them will have a true knowledge of Jesus Christ. In meditation on them, you will always find a new love. My Wounds will cover all your sins.
  7. Plunge your actions into My Wounds and they will be of value. All your actions, even the least, soaked in My Blood, will acquire by this alone an infinite merit and will please My Heart.
  8. In offering My Wounds for the conversion of sinners, even though the sinners are not converted, you will have the same merit before God as if they were.
  9. When you have some trouble, something to suffer, quickly place it in My Wounds, and the pain will be alleviated.
  10. This aspiration must often be repeated near the sick: “My Jesus, pardon and mercy through the merits of Your Holy Wounds!” This prayer will solace soul and body.
  11. A sinner who will say the following prayer will obtain conversion: “Eternal Father, I offer You the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal those of our souls.”
  12. There will be no death for the soul that expires in My Holy Wounds; they give true life.
  13. This chaplet is a counterpoise to My justice; it restrains My vengeance.
  14. Those who pray with humility and who meditate on My Passion, will one day participate in the glory of My Divine Wounds.
  15. The more you will have contemplated My painful Wounds on this earth, the higher will be your contemplation of them glorious in Heaven.
  16. The soul who during life has honoured the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ and has offered them to the Eternal Father for the souls in Purgatory, will be accompanied at the moment of death by the Holy Virgin and the angels; and Our Lord on the Cross, all brilliant in glory, will receive her and crown her.
  17. The invocations of the Holy Wounds will obtain an incessant victory for the Church.
 
Thanks CarmeliteKnight, I thought the only prayer done on the rosary was the Our Father and Hail Mary… thank you for an alternative.
 
Thanks Gov for the wake-up call to all those boomer Catholics who either don’t believe in Hell or believe that no one goes there except Hitler and Trump. Hell is real, folks. Don’t go there. Go to Heaven. Fr. James Martin, however much he may talk about love, is just wrong. . . . Read the Catechism of the Council of Trent, read the Bible, pray the Rosary, and overall mortify the flesh.

I think that too much PREOCCUPATION w/ eternal
damnation is NOT healthy, look out for OTHERS
eternal destiny is a GREAT way to assure yourself
of a place in heaven!! 1 Tim 4:10-16

Not to defy reverence for our lady, but please keep in mind that what was said at Fatima is still considered a private revelation, and Catholics are not obligated to believe any of it.

This is a wonderful prayer, and since your own prayer indicates that you would pardon these people, you can rest assured that God’s love and pardon is at least as merciful as your own. His love and mercy is infinite.

Again, this prayer shows your own capacity to love and forgive all souls. So much more is the love and forgiveness of our Father in heaven. This is another compassionate, beautiful prayer.

That said, we can ask with confident hearts, not fearful hearts. I truly believe that I pray this prayer not as if God would withhold His mercy and forgiveness if I did not pray it. Instead, if the prayer converts my own heart to a more forgiving and merciful Christian, then this is the holiness called for by Jesus.
 
Did Our Lady say “lusts of the flesh”? I thought it was simply “sins of the flesh”, which I would think could be a much broader category. If it’s only sexual sins that damn people, why does Our Lord, in the Gospels, seem to emphasize care for the poor much more? Matthew 25 comes to mind… perhaps the “goats” in that passage committed sins of the flesh in terms of material greed.
 
Yes hell is not ment to scare people to believe but a warning like a mother would warn her child from danger. Amen.

When was the last time you heard a priest preach about hell? I think for most people a preoccupation with hell isn’t likely since we never hear about it.

The Blessed Mother never said that to the visionaries at Fatima

You need to read the testimony given by the three visionaries which were given to Church authorities at the time. These are the approved apparitions.

Many people have added things to Fatima that never happened and even Lucia herself added things decades later that she never mentioned in her interviews by Church authorities. Lucia suffered from scrupulosity in her adult life.

Sorry It was supposed be sins of the flesh. Our Lady appeared to Jacinta and told her this correct if im wrong.

I read that Jacinta revealed to Lucia that our lady told her most souls go to hell for the sins kf tje flesh.
