During the day when I have time at the office, I sometimes pray the Rosary while walking around. There are also times at night when I pray the Rosary while walking around the bedroom. Do you think it is bad?

I don’t believe so. I’ve prayed the Rosary while driving, while on the Long Island Rail Road, and while running.

1 Thessalonians 5:17… “Pray without ceasing.” 🙂

That is also my 2nd question. Sometimes when I am driving, I also pray the Rosary, but since I am driving, the focus/attention while saying the Haily Marys is sometimes not good depending on the traffic. So I could end up with a number of badly said Haily Marys. Does it offend Mama Mary with these?

Does it offend friends when you’re walking and having a conversation with them but have to concentrate on not tripping at the same time?

What I do is dedicate my drive home rosary to souls in purgatory…if the trafic picks up or weather turns, I’ll just hold off…

I’ve been to the Phillipines, pretty sure I wouldn’t try the rosary and driving there! Though I’ve said quite a few Hail Mary’s !!!

Bless You! 🙂

Why would it be bad? Perhaps you should share your thoughts on why you would suspect such a notion.

No it is perfect.

You can see many pictures of Popes such as St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI walking while praying the rosary…

It is never bad to pray, we are to pray unceasingly, aloud or silently.

To pray the rosary while walking is an excellent practice. Pray without ceasing. :gopray:

Nope, I think God likes to see our bodies in motion:)

Physical movement is one of the few advantages thinking bodies, i.e., us, have over pure spirits.

We should “pray with our legs” more, not less.

ICXC NIKA!

I’ve prayed the rosary while washing dishes, sitting, riding in my parents van… I even prayed it while plugging things back into the back of my computer yesterday.

It’s the effort that counts.

I like to pray the rosary while walking around on my lunch break. I don’t think it’s bad. 🙂

I pray the rosary while I’m driving to work in the morning and I dedicate saying the rosary to the Holy Souls in purgatory. If I’m not finished when I get to work I finish saying rosary silently at my desk. I also say the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 PM every day with my rosary silently at my desk on days that I work.

We are supposed to pray unceasingly so I have always thought it is ok to pray while sitting, kneeling, standing still or walking and to be aware of my surroundings so if I’m walking I don’t want to walk into anyone.

There was an order of Nuns that would walk around in their prayer garden, praying the Rosary.

So no, it is not a problem.

Maybe we should ask these two guys.

It would only be bad if you walked into something. 🙂
