Walking away from religion in LA Times

I think we’re seeing more and more young people developing an attitude of “if this is what you believe about certain people and if this is how you think they should be treated, then I’m not interested in being part of your group.” Today’s youth have no problem looking at any organization and walking away from it or only being a fringe member if it’s not in line with what they believe. I’m not at all convinced that’s a bad thing.
 
These young people have a little living to do. Religion should be, to use a word I don’t like, Conservative. Today, the Leftists/Marxists hide behind the word Progressives. Oh yeah. They want progress alright. They’re still trying to lead us to that place of fire and brimstone.

Human freedom, to them, is, at best, completely about human beings. God? Pfft! We’ll figure it out. We’ll get it done. Who needs God? But, I believe as these young people get older, they’ll see the emptiness that currently emanates from the media. I’m not saying they’ll all suddenly become religious, but like the Anglicans, they’ll begin to understand from where good things flow.

It would be nice to assume that all these things are cyclical, but I’ve decided that’s not true. When the media feeds them perverse programming 24/7, the light will have a little difficulty getting through. However, I’m already seeing signs of the media, after pushing the envelope for years, already coming to the edges of where they can go. Cracks in the edifice are appearing.
