…but I believe that it is a way of showing us how much pain she went through. Because she was watching him, even if the bible didn’t record it we know she was there.
Where the Bible is silent we are to be silent…Last chapter in Revelations

WHERE…in which Gospel and DON’T MOCK ME because I want scripture and verse. Is there something wrong with the Word of God…? Yes Again I want it from the Bible…PLEASE…YOU show me where it talks about the stations of the cross in the Bible…once again…Your gift is sarcasum, you must be proud, Mocking the Holy Word of God…If you are ever in doubt you should check THAT book. You are in dire need of prayer.
Wow. Did you just come from your Christian worship service, Leslie? You seem angry. (Also, using CAPITALS is the internet equivalent of SHOUTING. Did you know that? It just makes you seem shrill and your message may be lost.)

Anyway, it’s ironic that you say “your gift is sarcasm”, because, that’s a sarcastic remark to begin with, isn’t it? You don’t really mean it’s a “gift”, do you?

WHERE…in which Gospel
First Station: Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane

Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” He took along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to feel sorrow and distress. Then he said to them, “My soul is sorrowful even to death. Remain here and keep watch with me.” He advanced a little and fell prostrate in prayer, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet, not as I will, but as you will.” When he returned to his disciples he found them asleep. He said to Peter, “So you could not keep watch with me for one hour? Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Matthew 26:36-41

Second Station: Jesus, Betrayed by Judas, is Arrested

Then, while [Jesus] was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs, who had come from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders. His betrayer had arranged a signal with them, saying, “the man I shall kiss is the one; arrest him and lead him away securely.” He came and immediately went over to him and said, “Rabbi.” And he kissed him. At this they laid hands on him and arrested him.
Mark 14: 43-46

Third Station: Jesus is Condemned by the Sanhedrin

When day came the council of elders of the people met, both chief priests and scribes, and they brought him before their Sanhedrin. They said, “If you are the Messiah, tell us,” but he replied to them, “If I tell you, you will not believe, and if I question, you will not respond. But from this time on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.” They all asked, “Are you then the Son of God?” He replied to them, “You say that I am.” Then they said, “What further need have we for testimony? We have heard it from his own mouth.”
Luke 22: 66-71

Fourth Station: Jesus is Denied by Peter

Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. One of the maids came over to him and said, “You too were with Jesus the Galilean.” But he denied it in front of everyone, saying, “I do not know what you are talking about!” As he went out to the gate, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, “This man was with Jesus the Nazorean.” Again he denied it with an oath, “I do not know the man!” A little later the bystanders came over and said to Peter, “Surely you too are one of them; even your speech gives you away.” At that he began to curse and to swear, “I do not know the man.” And immediately a cock crowed. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had spoken: “Before the cock crows you will deny me three times.” He went out and began to weep bitterly.

If I am wrong show me in the Word, no other book because no other book matters
Well, Leslie, I’ve answered at least 10 questions you’ve addressed; I’ve asked you to show me where this is in the Bible, but you have yet to respond. So please answer my one question:

Where does it say in the Bible that “no other book matters”? Or, you can show me if it says that all things you believe about God have to be written in the Scriptures.

Ah, Leslie. Again! Here’s something *else *that you believe that’s not in the Bible. Unless you have a verse that says “no other book matters”? Chapter and verse, please.

And, of course, the Stations of the Cross are in the Gospel, except for the one about Veronica. 🤷
I SAID no other book matters but the Bible…and I meant just that Rev the last chapter

Don’t run away just yet, I saw a station in the church and it was a picture of Christ carrying the croos and Mary was infront of him, it said “jesus meets his afflicted mother”, but I don’t remember this in the bible!?

You took thoses and made them into the “Stations of the Cross” and then gave them an indulgence. This was not a command of God. Anyone can take anything our of the Bible and likewise do it. Nothing wrong with that at all as long as that is where you get it. All you showed me however are different things that happened to Christ and you made each one into a Station. Great…However the"stations of the cross" persay are not there. only the life experiences of Jesus. The only thing that IS NOT THERE ( inn the Bible) in the indulgences. And as long as you are praying to Jesus or God through Jesus, the stations are fine. Start bringing anyone else in to pray to and or through and your prayers are go nowhere. I am so proud you used the Bible. See its not that tough

No my dear it was NOT a sarcastic remark from me…I was repeating yours…and just sometimes the useage i of capitals is FRUSTRATION. So Wow, ( as YOU said) I get FRUSTRATED. Now you know that there can be more than one reason for using caps.

Perhaps your right…the sarcastic remarks are just your personallity, not a gift.

You have provided us with no Bible verse for your belief that “no other book matters but the Bible.”

It’s another thing you believe about the Bible that’s not Biblical.

I really hope, now, that you’ve learned not to criticize Catholics for believing things that are not in Scripture. It reeks of hypocricy.

Hypocrisy is the act of condemning or calling for the condemnation of another person when the critic is guilty of the act for which he demands that the accused be condemned. Source here.

Wow.

The Stations of the Cross are no different than taking a trip to the Holy Land and retracing the steps of our Blessed Savior as he made his way through the streets, as thousands of Christians have done every year. What a great, symbolic way of taking up our own cross and following Him. JMHO 🤷

Leslie_Polley:
You are truly a moron…It sstates in LARGE PRINT…All have sinned EXCEPT>>>EXCEPT EXCEPT JESUS…This absolutally proves my point YOU DO NOT READ or your comprehension is null…EXCEPT JESUS>>>GOD>>>THE HOLY SPIRIT>>>>>EXCEPT THEM !!!

Are you from a Jewish background? My cousin is Jewish and she is a Canter at her Temple. We discuss the variables all of the time. The only book we have in common is the Old Testement…and their 613 laws, plus laws to keep you from breaking the laws…it gets quite conffusing… that we no longer live under. Exactly what book are you talking about. I will be glad to pass this along to her and she can answer any questions you may have . I am under the New Covenent howerver and that is the New Testement…Now that was the fullfilment of the Old Testament. So you see the Bible is the only book I need.

Are you Jewish or Catholic…The rest of this I answered on a duplicate post. The reason I asked if you where Jewish or Catholic is because the Jews do not believe that the Massiah has come yet. If that is the case I understand why the Bible is not relivent to you

I agree…Once you do that, nothing is the same…I got out of the Tiber

Yes, and thank you so very much for correcting me…Yes I meant Cantor…what did I say fish salesman. I use my terminoligy with her, she does not put me to the same hig standerd you do. Please forgive me. When I say Old Testament believe it or not, she does understand me. As I thought I said there are 613 + + +…There are also several different practicing Jew, some are mucj more strict than others. Now you check me if I am wrong…and I don’t think I said that Sola Scripturea would fly with the Jewish faith…

When in the world did I EVER encourage a Catholic to leave the church. I just said I got out of the Tiber…Good grief. I didn’t even know what it meant until I asked…The person who told me it was kind of a silly saying or something like that to say that they are Catholics…all I was saying, I was, but I am not anymore. This is the kind of judgements that I have been talking about. Reading into things that have just not been said. I have never nor would I ever try to tell anyone to leave their church. You need to be repromanded for trying to start trouble…

Your the one that brought up Sola Scripturs…I never use that. I am very glad your Irish, my father was Irish and my mother Italian. some combination huh

I agree…Once you do that, nothing is the same…I got out of the Tiber
So you see that the symbolism is the same. In both cases, take up your cross and follow Jesus;)

In or out of the Tiber is irrelevant:)
This been the river you didn’t know the name of until a few days ago…
And encouraging Catholics to leave the Church, even indirectly, is forbidden here you should be aware.
Thanks…even if she was, wouldn’t happen here:thumbsup: I’m HAPPILY Catholic!

Love in Christ,
Kathy

No they are not, what is there are the different things that happened in the life of Christ and you made them into the stations of the cross…nothing wrong with that, but they are not persay “the stations” of the cros. They where made that way by someone in the church no doubt. This does not make them wrong.
