I just received an answer from Wal-Mart regarding my email. The answer reads as follows:
Thank you for your message.
First, thank you for your inquiry. At
Walmart.com (
www.walmart.com)), we’re committed to offering our customers a broad merchandise selection that appeals to our wide range of customers of all backgrounds and beliefs.
It is unfortunate that this issue has been taken out of context. This year, hundreds of thousands of customers will buy Christmas decorations, gifts and thousands of items to celebrate the Christmas holiday at Wal-Mart, and many of them will also shop online. At
Walmart.com, we’re pleased to offer our online shoppers access to nearly 8,000 Christmas-related items. (Please click here to view:

We appreciate hearing from you, and always take customer feedback into account as we further grow and enhance our website.
Thank you,
Amy Colella

My reply to Amy was that if Christmas is labeled ‘holiday’ out of fear of offending people who are not Christians, then the issue has not been taken out of context.
