Trump doesnt care for social distancing either, as seen on the photo op walk, neither do the protestors or the rioters.

I feel for those trying to mop up that are going to contract Covid from this

There is already a few positive cases that are said to be linked to the riots/ protests. Floyd himself was positive

Here’s a fairly center publication covering the same territory:

I have to admit, as someone who has been 100% on board with the overall public health experts’ plan, I am completely frustrated by this sudden 180.
Politico:
“Many public health experts have already severely undermined the power and influence of their prior message,” countered [former dean of Harvard Medical School Jeffrey] Flier. “We were exposed to continuous daily Covid death counts, and infections/deaths were presented as preeminent concerns compared to all other considerations—until nine days ago,” he added.

“Overnight, behaviors seen as dangerous and immoral seemingly became permissible due to a ‘greater need,’” Flier said.

I agree Hume that the door swings both ways … but I will say that with Clinton - in the White House with an Intern and having directly lied to the American public while waving his finger coupled with the arguing about whether or nor oral sex was sex and the meaning of the definition of the word “is” while being defended by the Left kind of opened that door wide and jammed open forever - it was not swinging when Stormy walked through - the Democrats had stuck the swinging mechanism - as if FDR, Kennedy, Johnson and Kennedy the second had not already created a huge squeak in it 🤔 really, that ship had long sailed into the horizon

My observations on the rioting and CDC guidelines … many of the protesters did wear masks - of course they would have without the pandemic. Masks are common attire at Antifa gatherings - they don’t want their Moms and Dads to know what kind of miscreants they are and definitely don’t want to be arrested for their criminal activities.

As for Covid-19 being more dangerous for the African American community - that was a concern only when they could bash the President for his poor response. If the rioters get Covid - you can bet that:

1] they will bash Trump for not preventing the riots and allowing them to riot without protection and therefore placed themselves at risk … or

2] they will treat this like all other results of black on black crime - ignore it completely - African Americans who rioted may succumb to Covid but like the victims of inner city crime - gangs and drugs … it will go unremarked upon.

And lest you forget the facts about those people who descended on the capital to obtain their civil liberties back - they obviously did not riot appropriately - they don’t deserve any respect or credit. While they came armed [legally how lame is that?] - they failed to commit any acts of aggression - which is on its face a racist act. They should have burned cars, broke windows and stole property. They should have rioted into the wee hours of the night like real looters do … And the lack of profanity and graffiti … that too is probably a racist micro-aggression against some demographic somewhere … I cant think of who … but the Governors were incensed by it - so you know it was bad!

Hue and cry for weeks over those peaceful lockdown protesters about to restart Covid-19, how dare they think they know better?
Yep.

And let’s not forget the false charges of “selfish behavior” against those citizens leveled against them even by friends and family members.

KMC (on the hypocrisy by the leftist media regarding
germ-shaming people who were very vocal against people wanting to get back to work . . .
and very silent
about terrorists, thieves, and subversives in a public place
not “social distancing”, frequent neglecting of mask wearing, or
refusing to use hand sanitizer before and after stealing merchandise or starting buldings on fire, or turning over cars
when it comes to rioting who they give a pass to). . .
apparently those necessary things related to Covid are not so necessary anymore.
I am thinking the same thing.

Maybe they were not necessary from the get-go.

Dontcha know that’s a subversive thought?
😉

My take is this: the mainstream media were starting to lose the narrative on social distancing, business reopening, etc., as more and more people were realizing how much was baloney about it outside of the long term care facilities.

Most people are not stupid. We looked around all about. Long term care facilities were and still are problem spots, no doubt about that. But what about everywhere else? Most hospitals never filled up; even in LA County they did not get 10% full on any one day. But they banned us from parks and beaches even though we know that sunshine and fresh air are great antidotes. And they’re losing us with that too. People aren’t dying in droves in GA. Or FL. Or CA. And we noticed that all on our own.

So they had to get another narrative going. If it wasn’t Floyd’s unfortunate death, it would have been something else. When two weeks roll by and there is no spike from Memorial Day and from the protesters, we will know we’ve been had.

I think you are right.

And some of the leftist governors who are dialing back restrictions, basically have to.

Not because corona virus infections are gone. No

They had to dial back their restrictions because people just were ignoring them, they themselves were tiring of pretending to hold to them themselves, law enforcement was rejecting some of the anti-Constitutional measures, and even judges were waking up to the lawlessness of some of these leftist politicians.

The Governors (like Whitmer) would continue to be seen as less and less relevant politically too (and they want to give the apearance these decisions are from THEM and not from the people).

One exception to all of this one attorney friend of mine told me yesterday.
These riots allow for a legtimate but temporary re-injection of power decisions for the Governors.

First, WHY is anyone giving Matt Walsh airtime? He’s inflammatory for the sake of being inflammatory. He does a really poor job of representing Catholics.

Second, there is A LOT of conspiracy theory mongering going on in this thread… It’s quite frightening to me.

Our only hope is sincere prayer for our citizens and our country. We must pray for all our leaders, local, state, and national, especially our President, his staff, and his advisors. Our representatives and senators need special guidance, as do our employees in the many departments that keep tabs on our nation.

We must pray for the return of moral standards and moral inhibitions, for the desire to find a job and give a good day of work for a good day’s pay, for the desire to build loving families and to dedicate our lives to Christ, and for the impetus to keep our neighborhoods neat and to be kind to our fellow man.

We must pray for softening of hearts and stronger resolve in carrying our crosses, for better money management and planning for our futures, for our word to be our bond, and for an end to socialism and communism throughout the world.

We must pray for a thriving economy and peace within our own nation and throughout the world. We must pray for the longevity of our country and for those who work to protect our country and for those who have died for her.

Prayer is our only hope to better ourselves and our nation and our world.

Dear God, please help us all to bring honor to You, and, if it is Your Will, to save our beloved United States of America.

I disagree.

I think Matt Walsh is excellent.

I also think he is an excellent Catholic from most of what I have seen.

I’m sure you do.

People should have tuned him out immediately when he mocked those who identify as transgender. It’s a direct violation of the CCC, so I’ve no idea why you think he’s an “excellent Catholic.”

I said he’s a great Catholic. Not a perfect one.

I stand by my conclusion.

I think Walsh should be listened to more.

I think people should tune out influencers like Joe Biden who “marries” homosexual people, threatens black men with a beating with chains, and takes off his clothing in front of women (his secret service entourage).
