I have two questions for non-Catholics. And please, to the Catholics, I would respectfully request that you NOT reply apologetically (or at all for that matter) to the responses to the questions. This is not a debate, just a fact finding mission. Thanks.
#1. Why are you a Christian?

Andā¦
**In the story and message of Jesus of Nazareth I find peace and hope and strength to live in a world filled with strife, lostness and pain.
In his message of unconditional love of God I find hope. In his message and life I see God revealedā¦in his message that God is Father and can be approached in confidence of a child to a parent.
Through him the love of God was lived out before usā¦he āmade senseā the whole idea of Godā¦he showed us exactly what God is likeā¦he ate with sinners, spared the woman, gave dignity to the outcasts and lepersā¦that is why I follow him.**
#2 Why are you not a Catholic?
It does not meet my needs. I did not change one set of rituals and rites for a different setā¦in Christ all requirements for someone else to act on my behalf was removedā¦I now stand before Him in confidence. The idea of someone having to do something for me, be it sprinkle water on my head or serve me bread and wine to know the Presence in my life holds no sway for me. /B]
Thank you for your honest replies.
