• [Eucharistic Miracles (http://www.amazon.com/Eucharistic-M...bs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215711593&sr=1-1) by Joan Carroll Cruz - This book is a compendium of the accounts throughout Church history of various Eucharistic miracles (the host really turning into flesh, etc.). Awesome book.
• [The Lamb’s Supper (http://www.amazon.com/Lambs-Supper-...bs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215711827&sr=1-1) by Scott Hahn - A great look at the Mass through an in depth look at the book of Revelation (viewing the book of Revelation as a description of the heavenly liturgy).
• [The Joy of Being a Eucharistic Minister (http://www.amazon.com/Joy-Being-Euc...bs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215712049&sr=1-1) by Mitch Finley - More basic and written specifically for EMHC’s (Extraordinary Minsiters of Holy Communion). Nothing earth-shattering, but a good little book nonetheless.
• [The Spirit of the Liturgy (http://www.amazon.com/Spirit-Liturg...bs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215712224&sr=1-1) by Cardinal Ratzinger (AKA Pope Benedict XVI) - A book on the liturgy written by the man who is now pope. How can you go wrong?
• [The Mass of the Early Christians (http://www.amazon.com/Mass-Early-Ch...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215712365&sr=1-1) by Mike Aquilina - An excellent look at the origins of the Mass and how it was first celebrated through an analysis of the writings of the Early Church Fathers.
• [God Is Near Us: The Eucharist, The Heart of Life (http://www.amazon.com/God-Near-Us-E...=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215712602&sr=1-6) by Cardinal Ratzinger (AKA Pope Benedict XVI) - I have not read it, but considering the author and the title, how could you go wrong?
• [Dogmatic Theology 6: A General Doctrine of the Sacraments and the Mystery of the Eucharist (http://www.amazon.com/Doctrine-Sacr..._oe_8_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215712883&sr=1-8) by Johann Auer and Joseph Ratzinger - This is a more scholarly book, but I thought I’d throw it out there anyway in case your friend is thinking of pursuing a Masters degree in Theology.
• [Imitation of Christ (http://www.amazon.com/My-Imitation-...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215713310&sr=1-1) by Thomas a Kempis - This is a remarkable devotional book. I once heard it said (thought I cannot verify it) that it is the second most widely published book in history (second only to the Bible). It is divided into four books, and the fourth one is all about the Eucharist, so it would be great devotional material for an EMHC. There are many, many different editions out there. Be careful which version you get. Some versions are geared towards non-Catholic Christians and omit the fourth book on the Eucharist. The version I have linked to is the one I own which is pocket-size and contains some very cool illustrations. They look all the more cool in the dim light of an adoration chapel.

I’ll try to think of some more, but this should be a good start.

Gaudoin-Parker - This book gives a selection of excerpts that illustrate the Church’s constant belief and teaching on the Real Presence from the beginning to the present time.
• [Worthy is the Lamb: The Biblical Roots of the Mass (http://www.amazon.com/Worthy-Lamb-B...bs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215714212&sr=1-2) by Tom Nash - It is as the subtitle describes.
• [How to Get More Out of Holy Communion (http://www.amazon.com/How-Get-More-...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215714630&sr=1-1) by St. Peter Julian Eymund (AKA St. Pierre-Julien Eymard) - An excellent, excellent book. Very powerful. At the same time, it is deeply spiritual and eminently practical. It helps you to approach the Eucharist with renewed sense of the Real Presence. He’s a priest, a saint, and he is known for his extraordinary devotion to the Eucharist. So anything by him is probably worth looking at.

MarieVeronica, you like Fr. Benedict Groeschel. How about reading what another Benedict wrote on the subject: God is Near by Pope Benedict XVI? It is an excellent book and he clearly explains the Real Presence. You can find it on Amazon.com, as well as at Ignatius Press.

I so fully agree…I have read many of his books! The last one had to do with the martyrs through the centuries and how they died!
