We have a moral and spiritual obligation to assist those in need regardless of their merits, including their legal status. There isn’t anything in Matthew 25 about checking for green cards.

And immigrant street gangs are separating children from their families…with bullets!
No… street gangs may be killing people, but the vast majority of gangsters are not immigrants. And the even vaster majority of immigrants are not gangsters.

Talk to our “faithful Catholics” Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy, etc… and demand that they stop blaming others and use their power to introduce and pass legislation that protects all the weakest among us, innocent babies and immigrants alike!

I don’t think Jesus will listen to the argument that “it wasn’t my fault” when we are asked why these injustices were allowed to exist.

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

The American Catholic has been taking care of Latin America for decades. Isn’t it time to cut the cord?

The unfortunate truth is that the gangs are made up of immigrant children. Or as you would now call them…Americans.

Is there anything in there about feeding an already overfed immigrant and ignoring those who truly are starving in Africa?

The only thing that really offends me is the “interfaith” part. Haven’t we had enough of this nonsense for the last 40 years? What has it got us? Instead of having a big mushy group hug, how about we convert them to Christ’s only Church?

There’s one Lord, one faith, one baptism. Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus.

Hey, that sounds familiar. Where have I heard that before?

Bullfighter, go get a life. Peddle your hate somewhere else.
I would also say that since he has to lie to make a point, his point is invalid.

Bullffighter/JBuford, by all means take your hate and lies to someplace more appropriate. I think you would fit right in in the Obama administration.

Is the American Catholic Church being run by Latin America?

The rallies yesterday proves that it is!

There will come a day when your Mass missals will be printed in “Spanish Only”!

As I said when you said the exact same thing in another thread:

We already have Missals in Spanish only. They are in the pews next to the ones in English only, Polish only, Tagalog only, and Latin/English in facing columns. What’s the problem?

The Catholic Church is supporting its constituency here. Most Mexicans are Catholic and most want unfettered immigration. The Church doesn’t seem to support the current laws that limit immigration, but wants them changed.

While I don’t agree with this stance, the Church has a right to push for laws that support its worldview. It does the same with Gay marriage, abortion, and other laws.

Do individuals or groups of Catholics have the right to withdraw their support if they feel that the support the Catholic Church is giving to these people is a threat to their country or their safety?

Who in the world would think such a think besides a few angry unforgiving types like Bullfighter? When one has that much anger and poison in the soul, contrabutions to the Church are the least of one’s worries.
