*Was mohammed a prophet of God? Did he recived his visions from god? was he crazy? or even possesed?
Certainly this is denied in the koran but is this correct?

YUSUFALI: Nun. By the Pen and the (Record) which (men) write

YUSUFALI: Thou art not, by the Grace of thy Lord, mad or possessed.

1 Was mohammed Crazy?

***Mohammed himself admitted that he had was mad and even tried to commit suicide at time? Were his visions divinely inspired or simply dilusions? did mohammed have a mental illness? Many Hadith verses certainly indicate soemthing was going on **

Tabari VI:70
“He went to Khadija and said, ‘I think that I have gone mad.’”

***Tabari VI:67 ***
“The Prophet said, ‘I had been standing, but fell to my knees; and crawled away, my shoulders trembling. I went to Khadija and said, “Wrap me up!” When the terror had left me, he came to me and said, "Muhammad, you are the Messenger of Allah.’” Muhammad said, 'I had been thinking of hurling myself down from a mountain crag, but he appeared to me as I was thinking about this and said, “I am Gabriel and you are the Messenger.” Then he said, “Recite!” I said, “What shall I recite?” He took me and pressed me three times. I feared for my life.’"

***Tabari VI:76 ***
“The inspiration ceased to come to the Messenger for a while, and he was deeply grieved. He began to go to the tops of mountain crags, in order to fling himself from them; but every time he reached the summit of a mountain, Gabriel appeared to him and said to him, ‘You are Allah’s Prophet.’ Thereupon his anxiety would subside and he would come back to himself. [Muhammad explains:] I was walking one day when I saw the angel who used to come to me at Hira. I was terror-stricken by him.”

*Mohammed talked to innanimate objects such as trees and stones as well as having supposedly divine visions

*Ishaq:105 ***
"Aisha said that when Allah desired to honor Muhammad, the first sign of prophethood
was a vision in brightness **of day shown to him in his sleep. He liked nothing better than to be alone. When he left Mecca and there was no house in sight, every stone and tree that passed by said, 'Peace be unto you, Allah’s Apostle.’ Muhammad would turn around and see naught but trees and stones. He stayed seeing and hearing things as long as it pleased Allah."

Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 199:
Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman:
"I asked Masruq, ‘Who informed the Prophet about the Jinns at the night when they heard the Qur’an?’ He said, 'Your father ‘Abdullah informed me **that a tree informed **the Prophet about them.’ "

***Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 440: ***
Narrated Abu Salama:
'Aisha said that the Prophet said to her “O ‘Aisha’ This is Gabriel and he sends his (greetings) salutations to you.” 'Aisha said, “Salutations (Greetings) to him, and Allah’s Mercy and Blessings be on him,” and addressing the Prophet she said, “You see what I don’t see.”

*Mohammed heard a tree crying like a pregnant she camel?and comforted it?

***Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 13, Number 41: ***
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
The Prophet used to stand by a stem of a date-palm tree (while delivering a sermon). When the pulpit was placed for him we heard that stem crying like a pregnant she-camel till the Prophet got down from the pulpit and **placed his hand over it
**.

***Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 56, Number 783: ***
Narrated Ibn Umar:
The Prophet used to deliver his sermons while standing beside a trunk of a datepalm. When he had the pulpit made, he used it instead. **The trunk started crying and the Prophet went to it, rubbing his hand over it **(to stop its crying).

2 Was mohammed possesed?

***Ishaq:106 ***
I stood gazing at him and that distracted me from committing suicide. I couldn’t move. Khadija sent her messengers in search of me and they gained the high ground above Mecca so I came to her and sat by her thigh. She said, ‘O Abu’l-Qasim [Muhammad’s actual name], where have you been?’ I said, 'Woe is me. I am possessed.’”

Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Number 475: ***
Narrated Jundub bin Sufyan:
Once Allah’s Apostle became sick and could not offer his night prayer (Tahajjud) for two or three nights. Then a lady (the wife of Abu Lahab) came and said, "O Muhammad! I think that your Satan has forsaken you, for I
have not seen him with you for two or three nights
*!" On that Allah revealed: By the fore-noon, and by the night when it darkens, your Lord (O Muhammad) has neither forsaken you, nor hated you.’ (93.1-3)

Sahih Muslim Book 039, Number 6759:
A’isha the wife of Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him), reported that one day Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) came out of her (apartment) during the night and she felt jealous. Then he came and he saw me (in what agitated state of mind) I was. He said: A’isha, what has happened to you? Do you feel jealous? Thereupon she said: How can it he (that a woman like me) should not feel jealous in regard to a husband like you. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: It was your devil who had come to you, and she said: Allah’s Mes- senger, is there along with me a devil? He said: Yes. I said: Is devil attached to everyone? He said: Yes. I (Aisha) again said: Allah’s Messenger, **is it with you also? He saidYes: ** , but my Lord has helped me against him and as such I am ab solutely safe from his mischief.

***Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 33, Number 254: ***
Narrated 'Ali bin Al-Husain (from Safiya, the Prophet’s wife):
The wives of the Prophet were with him in the mosque (while he was in Itikaf) and then they departed and the Prophet said to Safiya bint Huyai, “Don’t hurry up, for I shall accompany you,” (and her dwelling was in the house of Usama). The Prophet went out and in the meantime two Ansari men met him and they looked at the Prophet and passed by. The Prophet said to them, “Come here. She is (my wife) Safiya bint Huyai.” They replied, “Subhan Allah, (How dare we think of evil) O Allah’s Apostle! (we never expect anything bad from you).” The Prophet replied, “Satan circulates in the human being as blood circulates in the body and I was afraid lest Satan might insert an evil thought in your minds.

***Sahih Muslim Book 039, Number 6757: ***
Abdullah b. Mas’ud reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: There is none amongst you with whom is not an attache from amongst the jinn (devil). They (the Companions) said: Allah’s Messenger, with you too? Thereupon he said: Yes, but Allah helps me against him and so I am safe from his hand and he does not command me but for good.

***Was Mohammed’s inspiration divine or satanic? Mohammed was terrorized by the “angels” he encountered, he would start sweat profusely, go red in the face, have panic attacks, snore like a camel, fall unconscious he would have one of his wives cover him with a towel and after the state had passed recite verses of the Koran. Indeed when he describes his angels he seems more afraid of them than anything asthey would physically manhandle him. The Koran states Mohammed’s inspiration comes from god but is this correct? **

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 1, Number 2: ***
Narrated 'Aisha:
(the mother of the faithful believers) Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah’s Apostle “O Allah’s Apostle! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?” Allah’s Apostle replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the
ringing of a bell
*, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes ’ off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says." 'Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the **Sweat dropping **from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).

Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 438: ***
Narrated Aisha:
Al Harith bin Hisham asked the Prophet, “How does the divine inspiration come to you?” He replied, "In all these ways: The Angel sometimes comes to me with a voice which resembles the sound of a ringing bell, and when this state abandons me, I remember what the Angel has said, a
nd this type of Divine Inspiration is the hardest on me
*; and sometimes the Angel comes to me in the shape of a man and talks to me, and I understand and remember what he says."

Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 461:***
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
that he heard the Prophet saying, "The** Divine Inspiration was delayed for a short period but suddenly, as I was walking. I heard a voice in the sky,** and when I looked up towards the sky, to my surprise, I saw the angel who had come to me in the Hira Cave, and he was sitting on a chair in between the sky and the earth. I was so frightened by him that I fell on the ground and came to my family and said (to them), ‘Cover me! (with a blanket), cover me!’ Then Allah sent the Revelation: “O, You wrapped up (In a blanket)! (Arise and warn! And your Lord magnify And keep pure your garments, And desert the idols.” (74.1-5)

***Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 170: ***
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
When the Ka’ba was rebuilt, the Prophet and 'Abbas went to carry stones. 'Abbas said to the Prophet “(Take off and) put your waist sheet over your neck so that the stones may not hurt you.” (But as soon as he took off his waist sheet) he fell unconscious on the ground with both his eyes towards the sky. When he came to his senses, he said, “My waist sheet! My waist sheet!” Then he tied his waist sheet (round his waist).

Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Number 447:
Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah:
I heard the Prophet describing the period of pause of the Divine Inspiration. He said in his talk, "While I was walking, I heard voices from the sky. I **looked up, and behold ! I saw the same Angel who came to me in the cave of Hira’ sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I was too much afraid of him **(so I returned to my house) and said, ‘Fold me up in garments!’ They wrapped me up. Then Allah revealed: ‘O you wrapped…and desert the idols before the prayer became compulsory.’ Rujz means idols.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 61, Number 508:
Narrated Safwan bin Ya’la bin Umaiya:
Ya’la used to say, “I wish I could see Allah’s Apostle at the time he is being inspired Divinely.” When the Prophet was at Al-Ja’rana and was shaded by a garment hanging over him and some of his companions were with him, a man perfumed with scent came and said, “O Allah’s Apostle! What is your opinion regarding a man who assumes Ihram and puts on a cloak after perfuming his body with scent?” The Prophet waited for a while, and then the Divine Inspiration descended upon him. 'Umar pointed out to Ya’la, telling him to come. Ya’la came and pushed his head (underneath the screen which was covering the Prophet ) and behold! **The Prophet’s face was red and he kept on breathing heavily for a while and then he was relieved. **Thereupon he said, “Where is the questioner who asked me about 'Umra a while ago?” The man was sought and then was brought before the Prophet who said (to him), “As regards the scent which you perfumed your body with, you must wash it off thrice, and as for your cloak, you must take it off; and then perform in your 'Umra all those things which you perform in Hajj.”

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 1, Number 3:
The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read. The Prophet added, “The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, ‘I do not know how to read.’ Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, ‘I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?’ Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, 'Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists) has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous.” (96.1, 96.2, 96.3) Then Allah’s Apostle returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, “**Cover me! Cover me!” **They covered him **till his fear was over **and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, “I fear that something may happen to me.” Khadija replied, “Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your Kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones.”

Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Number 478: ***
Narrated Aisha:
(the wife of the Prophet) The
commencement (of the Divine Inspiration) to Allah’s Apostle was in the form of true dreams in his sleep,
* for he never had a dream but it turned out to be true and clear as the bright daylight. Then he began to like seclusions, so he used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship Allah continuously for many nights before going back to his family to take the necessary provision (of food) for the stay. He come back to (his wife) Khadija again to take his provision (of food) likewise, till one day he received the Guidance while he was in the cave of Hira. An Angel came to him and asked him to read. Allah’s Apostle replied, “I do not know how to read.” The Prophet added, "Then the Angel held me (forcibly) and pressed me so hard that I felt distressed. Then he released me and again asked me to read, and I replied, ‘I do not know how to read.’ Thereupon he held me again and pressed me for the second time till I felt distressed. He then released me and asked me to read, but again I replied. ‘I do not know how to read.’ Thereupon he held me for the third time and pressed me till I got distressed, and then he released me and said, ‘Read, in the Name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists), has created man out of a clot, Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous. Who has taught (the writing) by the pen, has taught man that which he knew not." (96.1-5).
Then Allah’s Apostle returned with that experience; and the muscles between his neck and shoulders were trembling till he came upon Khadija (his wife) and said, "Cover me!" They covered him, and when the state of fear was over, he said to Khadija, “O Khadija! What is wrong with me? I was afraid that something bad might happen to me.” Then he told her the story. Khadija said, "Nay! But receive the good tidings! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you, for by Allah, you keep good relations with your Kith and kin, speak the truth, help the poor and the destitute…
But a short while later Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was paused (stopped) for a while so that Allah’s Apostle was very much grieved. Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: While Allah’s Apostle was talking about the period of pause in revelation. he said in his narration. "Once while I was walking, all of a sudden I heard a voice from the sky. I looked up and saw to my surprise, the same Angel as had visited me in the cave of Hira.’ He was sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I got afraid of him and came back home and said, Wrap me! Wrap me!" **So they covered him **

Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 27, Number 17: ***
Narrated Safwan bin Ya’la bin Umaiya from his father who said:
"A man came to the Prophet while he was at Ji’rana. The man was wearing a cloak which had traces of Khaluq or Sufra (a kind of perfume). The man asked (the Prophet ), 'What do you order me to perform in my ‘Umra?’ So, Allah inspired the Prophet divinely and he was screened by a place of cloth. I wished to see the
Prophet being divinely inspired
*. ‘Umar said to me, 'Come! Will you be pleased to look at the Prophet while Allah is inspiring him?’ I replied in the affirmative. 'Umar lifted one corner of the cloth and I looked at the Prophet who was snoring. (The sub-narrator thought that he said: The snoring was like that of a camel).

Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 48, Number 829:
By Allah, Allah’s Apostle had not got up and nobody had left the house before the Divine Inspiration came to Allah’s Apostle]. So, there overtook him the same state which used to overtake him, (when he used to have, on being inspired divinely). He was sweating so much so that the drops of the sweat were dropping like pearls though it was a (cold) wintry day. When that state of Allah’s Apostle was over, he was smiling and the first word he said, ‘Aisha! Thank Allah, for Allah has declared your innocence.’ My mother told me to go to Allah’s Apostle . I replied, ‘By Allah I will not go to him and will not thank but Allah.’ So Allah revealed: “Verily! They who spread the slander are a gang among you . . .” (24.11)

*Magic was worked on Mohammed?

***Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 71, Number 660: ***
Narrated Aisha:
**Magic was worked on Allah’s Apostle so that he used to think that he had sexual relations with his wives while he actually had not **(Sufyan said: That is the hardest kind of magic as it has such an effect). Then one day he said, "O ‘Aisha do you know that Allah has instructed me concerning the matter I asked Him about? Two men came to me and one of them sat near my head and the other sat near my feet. The one near my head asked the other. What is wrong with this man?’ The latter replied the is under the effect of magic The first one asked, Who has worked magic on him?’ The other replied Labid bin Al-A’sam, a man from Bani Zuraiq who was an ally of the Jews and was a hypocrite.’ The first one asked, What material did he use)?’ The other replied, ‘A comb and the hair stuck to it.’ The first one asked, ‘Where (is that)?’ The other replied. ‘In a skin of pollen of a male date palm tree kept under a stone in the well of Dharwan’ ‘’ So the Prophet went to that well and took out those things and said “That was the well which was shown to me (in a dream) Its water looked like the infusion of Henna leaves and its date-palm trees looked like the heads of devils.” The Prophet added, "Then that thing was taken out’ I said (to the Prophet ) “Why do you not treat yourself with Nashra?” He said, “Allah has cured me; I dislike to let evil spread among my people.”

*Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 71, Number 661: ***
Narrated ‘Aisha:
Magic was worked on Allah’s Apostle so that he began to imagine that he had done something although he had not. One day while he was with me, he invoked Allah and invoked for a long period and then said, “O 'Aisha! Do you know that Allah has instructed me regarding the matter I asked Him about?” I asked, “What is that, O Allah’s Apostle?” He said, "Two men came to me; one of them sat near my head and the other sat near my feet. One of them asked his companion, ‘What is the disease of this man?’ The other replied, 'He is under the effect of magic.’ The first one asked, 'Who has worked magic on him?" The other replied, ‘Labid bin A’sam, a Jew from the tribe of Bani Zuraiq.’ The (first one asked), ‘With what has it been done?’ The other replied, ‘With a a comb and the hair stuck to it and a skin of the pollen of a male datepalm tree.’ The first one asked, ‘Where is it?’ The other replied, ‘In the well of Dharwan.’ Then the Prophet went along with some of his companions to that well and looked at that and there were date palms near to it. Then he returned to me and said, 'By Allah the water of that well was (red) like the infusion of Henna leaves and its date-palms were like the heads of devils" I said, O Allah’s Apostle! Did you take those materials out of the pollen skin?" He said, 'No! As for me Allah has healed me and cured me and I
was afraid that (by Showing that to the people) I would spread evil among them **when he ordered that the well be filled up with earth, and it was filled up with earth

Mahomet was a false prophet who was deceived by an inferior demon (aka jinn) claiming to be Gabriel.

I confess there is NO GOD but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that Jesus is God Incarnate risen from the dead!

Impressive cutting-and-pasting, I must say! 🙂

He certainly gained a “profit” from (a) “god”. That’s about the kindest thing to say.

Sometimes I think that it all started because of Khadija (Muhammad’s wife) and her cousin Waraqa, I think without them (of course with Satan’s help), maybe Islam wouldn’t be here today.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 1, Number 3:
“.…The Prophet added, “The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, “Cover me! Cover me!” They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, “I fear that something may happen to me.” Khadija replied, "Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your Kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones, Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin 'Abdul 'Uzza, who, during the PreIslamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters. He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to Waraqa, “Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!” Waraqa asked, “O my nephew! What have you seen?” Allah’s Apostle described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, “This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out.” Allah’s Apostle asked, “Will they drive me out?” Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, “Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly.” But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while…

Reading this makes me laugh, mohhamad is showing clear signs of mental disorder, if only he had of lived in this day and age we could have given him the psychiatric and medical help he needed.
Instead what did the geniuses of a thousand years ago do, they turned him into a prophet. lol.

Mahomet was a false prophet who was deceived by an inferior demon (aka jinn) claiming to be Gabriel.

I confess there is NO GOD but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that Jesus is God Incarnate risen from the dead!
i agree with you.you are correct brother.

Unlike other prophets, Mohammed founded a religion on his own. I find that disturbing.

At least he had respect for the Blessed Virgin Mary. I appreciate that.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!

I’m pretty sure that scholars reject the notion that Muhammad contemplated suicide–that it is a weak and inauthentic report.

The remarks you’ve quoted from the Sirah (i.e., biography) as well as some reports in the Tafsir (commentary of Qur’an) are not well-documented.

About the accounts in the Sahih al-Bukhari, you must remember that other people witnessed these events. If you are suggesting that Muhammad (s) had a mental disorder because a tree was moaning, and he comforted it, what do you have to say about all the people who witnessed and reported the event, I wonder?

aisha said she couldnt see what mo saw, when he said that the angel gabriel visited them. According to the hadith Mo was the only one who saw the angel gabriel. As for what you consider un-athentic anythign which damages islam is considered unathentic so i dont really care waht many brainwashed islamic shcolars think.

aisha also said mo used to talk to trees when nothign was there. the hadith affirms that mo used to have fits, foam at the mouth, snore like a she cammel, sweet a lot, fear, go unconcious, have divien inspiration in the riging of bells which mohamed caleld satanic and fear the angel gabriel

I believe that all those stories are fabrications. After his death, his enemies took it upon themselves to lower the status of the prophet in people’s eyes so that they can elevate their own status by attributing all those stories to him.

The prophet’s grandson accuses Aisha, Anas, and Abu Hurairah of being the 3 most notorious liars and fabricators against the prophet Muhammad (s) .

In fact, Aisha lied to the Muhammad (s) on at least two occasions. We can’t expect she will be truthfull to us 🙂

Hello,

BEware, not every muslim holds true.

in saying this, I must leave for prayer inshaAllah.

Remember, one cannot be a Muslim if they degrade and hate the sahaba, (the companions of Mohammad sws).

I read somewere maybe it here one this forum that when your prophet died no body attended his funeral and that everboby started fighting or arguing over there inheritance who’s going to get what…
what has your religion taught, if the unholy family of your prophet and his closest friends his followers haven’t learned anything spiritual ,but only materialisim…i read that aisha lead a army aganist alli…

haha so those hadiths are just corrupted what a convenient argument. Muslims denying the truth , nothing new there!

*Abu Huraira’s hadith validity

Volume 1, Book 3, Number 119:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
I said to Allah’s Apostle “I hear many narrations (Hadiths) from you but I forget them.” Allah’s Apostle said, “Spread your Rida’ (garment).” I did accordingly and then he moved his hands as if filling them with something (and emptied them in my Rida’) and then said, “Take and wrap this sheet over your body.” I did it and after that I never forgot any thing.

Volume 1, Book 3, Number 120:
Narrated Ibrahim bin Al-Mundhir:
Ibn Abi Fudaik narrated the same as above (Hadith…119) but added that the Prophet had moved his hands as if filling them with something and then he emptied them in the Rida’ of Abu Huraira.

Volume 1, Book 3, Number 121:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
I have memorized two kinds of knowledge from Allah’s Apostle . I have propagated one of them to you and if I propagated the second, then my pharynx (throat) would be cut (i.e. killed).
