I’m getting baptized this Wednesday!
No, the presumption is that you have a valid baptism unless there is other evidence.Should we ALL be conditionally baptized?
I think a case can be made for conditionally baptizing most if not all converts. But I’m not in charge of the Vatican. No, the presumption is that you have a valid baptism unless there is other evidence.
Well, I think we know which ones have the right rubric, if followed correctly. It’s when ministers start free styling that the problems occur.I think a case can be made for conditionally baptizing most if not all converts. But I’m not in charge of the Vatican.
Yeah it definitely was a shock. The whole thing is weird. You thought you were baptized yesterday, and today found out you weren’t.
that’s just interesting. So the EC version is fine. it’s almost like a third person view- just saying the person’s name.Funny, because in Eastern Catholicism there is neither “we” nor “I” - the Priest says “The servant of God [name] is baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
And their baptisms are considered valid.
Yes. If you were baptized conditionally, you will need to be confirmed conditionally.Thanks.
Does anyone know if I have to be reconfirmed?
