What does scripture or tradition say on his geneology ?
If you’re talking about the apostle St. Peter, nope, he’s not a Levite as far as we can tell. He doesn’t even have a genealogy in the Gospels (then again, no disciple has any record of their genealogy)! The few things we know about Peter’s pedigree and prior life, which we can glean from the New Testament, are:What does scripture or tradition say on his geneology ?

Matthew 16
13]
Yet Peter had been trained all his life that only the high priest could utter the name of God in the Holy of Holies once a year. I think more was revealed to Peter than what was recorded. Peter could have been a Levite but I’ve never seen any evidence yet.
Hang on, if only the High Priest could utter the name Peter uttered then it wouldn’t mean Peter was a Levite at all, since even THEY couldn’t utter it - it could only mean Peter was High Priest!
As for the name - surely Peter used one of the many alternatives, that scripture is full of, instead of the actual Sacred Name that was only uttered once a year.
