Use the term “Eastern Schism” or “Great Eastern Schism”

The “Great Schism”, remember, can also refer to the purely Western event when there was 3 or 4 popes in the middle ages and competing factions between Avignon and Rome…and it all worked out in the end…

No apologies necessary. I didn’t take it as offensive and actually saved it as a favorite. As a non-C thought, I can’t show too much excitement. Althought I better stop on these forums becasue you guys/gals are getting too me.

However, I know if I were to go to the local parish…I wouldn’t see the great minds…burning for truth and excitment for Jesus as I do here. So I must take that into account. Here at CA, is the cream of the crop. I enjoy it.
