The Folsom Street Fair fiasco will be on. With Peter La Barbera, from Americans for Truth About Homosexuality. This is the area where the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and Archbishop Niederauer live and work. The Sisters are “intimately involved” with the fair, collecting donations at EVERY ENTRANCE - SO EVERYONE MUST interact with them.

No thank you. I will be watching a Star Wars dvd instead. I don’t watch Fox news.

I hate to say this, but I am not that big a fan of Sean Hannity.

Besides, my Spurs are playing the evil Mavericks tonight.

Truthfully, I could’nt stand another thread pertaining to that bunch in SanFrancisco. Ugh!!! You can keep Hannity too…

Ever since Hannity seriously disrespected Fr Euteneuer, I have tried to avoid his shows.

Thanks, Angels Watchin… I saw your post last night right after H&C started, & got off line to watch. The coverage on the presidential campaigns seemed more interesting than usual, too. The piece about the street fair was shocking & I had already seen it on The Catholic League’s website. I forget the name of the organization that is trying to expose it, but I give them credit. The fact that children were there is just the worst. Poor Colmes, all he could do is keep repeating, You should contact Schwarzenegger (sp.) about this too, not just Pelosi.

I thought Hannity also did a good job reporting on Planned Parenthood with evidence that it covered up child rape. You won’t see that story on CNN. Thanks again…

I went to a seminar and a person who
had gone to the Folsom Street Festival spoke about it.

The number shocked me **- 400,000 **persons attended.

Is that the number correct?

I watched some of it a…but didn’t see the Folsum Street thing…

The election issue was covered well…

mmm1 your right about A. Colmes:rolleyes:

Hannity and the rest of the neo-cons on Fox are enemies of the Church and sinfully patriotic. Typical Americanism.
Amen…though we may disagree on the particulars.

John

The Folsom Street Fair is an annual event similar to a gay pride parade.

There was a lot of controversy over using “The Last Supper” because they used gays in place of the apostles to advertise the event.

**Four Hundred Thousand **persons including many children attended so I was told.

There were sexual acts going on during the event in the streets, again so I was told.

Wow, just read the article you posted. Public nudity with body paint is a given at any gay pride parade but sexual acts as described in the article aren’t.
• Groups of men engaged in orgies on the public street, including acts of oral sex and mutual masturbation, as crowds waked by and snapped pictures.
• Fully exposed men “greeting” other men by grasping other men’s genitals and massaging them in full view of passers-by. The police stood by and did nothing;
Should the rest of America tolerate public nudity and homosexual orgies on their city streets?
**
Did Hannity have footage of the event?**

Apparently the figure of 400,000 is correct. Here is another thread on it.

I too have stopped listening to his radio show but it seems he is the only one talking about this fair so I’d like see the footage. The picture on the other thread has been removed from the net.

I’ve heard Bill O’Reilly and Glen Beck promote contraception.

Rush has been married three times and occasionally he mentions his girl friends.

Hannity is still a Catholic and needs our prays.

Bill O’Reilly promotes contraception yet he says he is a Catholic. I don’t hear the outrage against him.

We need to pray for these people in the media. I am not here to defend Hannity.

I’d like to hear more about it, and see footage of this festival that attracts 400,000 regular people. Many people act lewd, but it does not dismay the crowd!!

Nancy Pelosi, Speak of the House, has no problem with this fair in her district?

Why is there no coverage in the media on this?

The point is that Hannity to me is spiritually dead.

I rarely disagree with Hannity, but, like O’Reily and other talking heads, they are totally willing to expound on things about which they are totally uninformed.

That episode with Fr. Eutenauer was truly dispicable.

I used to consider Hannity to be alright. Not the best, but alright. His style of “debate” is similar to that of other pundits of both liberal and conservative leanings. He talks over people, uses straw men (ascribing an argument to his opponent that the opponent did not actually make) and non-sequitirs (claims that do not follow logically), and is particularly fond of the tu quoque fallacy (“you also”, trying to refute a charge by claiming the opponent’s side is also guilty of something).

He used the tu quoque in an egregious way against Fr. Euteneuer. Rather than address the real issue of faithfulness to the Church, he kept trying to talk about the abuse scandal. As horrible as that scandal is, it does not have any bearing on the veracity of the Church’s teachings or on Sean Hannity’s need to obey doctrine.

I was always uncomfortable with Hannity’s declarations that the war on terror was “the greatest issue of our time”. He seems to entirely ignore the secularization of our society as being a more pressing and essential problem. And I don’t recall the last time I heard him attack abortion. How can we expect to handle our foreign affairs properly if we cannot protect the lives of the most innocent citizens? What good is it to win against the terrorists if our nation rots within?

After seeing the Fr, Euteneuer incident, I don’t listen to Hannity anymore. Conservative Catholics should tune in to Laura Ingraham. She seems to be serious about her faith. I even heard her mention on the air the necessity of confession before receiving the Eucharist. When I heard that, I think my esteem for her went up about 100% 😃

I think I lost my respect for Hannity when in his support for Giuliani, he used the false argument that since abortion is a bad thing, it is acceptable to promote contraception to prevent it, and then tried to present the Church acceptance of NFP as support of contraception, treating the priest who tried to explain the error in a thoroughly shoddy way.

When one puts political ideology above the Church, the answer is a departure from the faith.
