Watch: Security camera records man stealing from a woman’s purse in an adoration chapel

She is deep in prayer, and the thief who steals her wallet, feels he is safe as she prays devoutly. As the thief leaves, he crosses himself with the holy water from the chapel font.

I hope they caught him. Unfortunately there are people who go into churches to do this very thing. My purse generally does not leave my body during the whole time I’m in church. Occasionally if I am completely alone in a chapel I will put it beside me, but always within my eye sight and if somebody who wasn’t an 80-year-old with a cane chose to sit that close to me in a chapel with plenty of other seats, I’d put the purse back on.

This can and does happen in any church. A Mormon friend was a victim about ten years ago…nothing new. Sad

I feel sorry for this man.

I may not be guilty of the same sin as him but I am still a poor sinner.

That being said I hope the police apprehend him.
