True, but look at the influences of things run amok in sociey today that denigrate the role of family life. Marxist feminist theory is rampant in Universities. It says that the nuclear family meets the needs of capitalism for the reproduction and maintenance of class and patriarchal inequality .It benefits the powerful at the expense of the working class and women. That’s what you must fight against.
This reminds me of a joke from “Radio Armenia”:
"Our listeners ask: “are Soviets permitted to kiss in Red Square?”
We answer: “Yes, they are allowed, but should be prepared for a lot of advice.”
The Marxist approach to family, like the Marxist approach to everything, correctly identifies the problem, and completely botches the remedy. Like a bad doctor, whose only remedy is amputation.
Marxists see the problems with modern familes and propose abolishing the family altogether. Feminists see the problem, and propose replacing one bad husband with an infinite number of them!
The Catholic replies, no, the cure for what ails the family is to add more members to the family, but add them vertically, not horizontally. Add brothers, sisters, down the tree, add uncles, aunts, grandparents up the tree. No need for more wives than one, or more husbands. In the family tree, make the roots deeper, make the crown broader, but keep the vines off the limbs.
The answer to both the feminist and the marxist is the same: How much more time will you give me with my wife, my children, and our extended family? Say, give me 20 more hours a week. Cut my taxes by 50% to make up for the loss in revenue. Plus, with half the labor, unemployment will disappear and the balance between the number of people and the work to be accomplished will be restored. You will see miracles!
Then sit back and listen to them howl.
