We agree porn is bad, but should it be banned?

If I may, most often people view it could erode one’s freedom of expression (i.e. speech.) Thus how the defense comes in for erotic imagery.

I get the argument. I understand the proposition and the set premises. However, as most of those arguments defending and promoting it, often do look as if is characterized clearly looking through/by Clyde’s dale horse blinds. It ignores the consequence. And, we’re facing the consequences alarmingly.

The premise and basis for the Freedom of Speech, doesn’t mean you can express in doing what you want. For, you cannot go out and rape someone. Even if you feel it is your freedom of speech (i.e. expression) to do it.

But suppose this man and woman meet each other online. They started dating and seeing each other. They have sex. Then they break it off. And then they meet together to have sex. Notice something? They are living out the erotic fascination of imagery. Some people have orgies. The truth is, erotic imagery is simply a projection of the whole populate and themselves. It delivers to them the prompt response/idea/incentive what goes on in the bedroom between consenting adults. So the erotic imagery is just an ad campaign to extend and continue that living arrangement. Whether it is indicative from a show like “Two and a Half Men.” Or it is something published by Hugh Hefner’s cult. The fact of the matter, the people/the public espouse the desire of doing this.

So if you don’t outlaw erotic imagery, then may God allow then the evils to wreak havoc. And fill the justice department with a multitude of cases as a result of it. And thus making the arm of justice responsible to deal with the problem it conveniently ignores. Sadly, children will end up suffering alot for it. Just as Our Lady in Fatima showed the children, Hell, where poor sinners go because no one prayed for them. So our job is to pray for those people demonstrating, publishing it, and those falling into it themselves. And God will look at us through the lens of Mary’s Immaculate Heart just as in the days of Noah. People will see the horrid consequences of this industry, until it is made/told to stop.

In the 1970s, as religious people protested Adult Bookstores and other “adult” places of business, the pornographers had high priced lawyers to tell ‘religious nuts’ that they had “the First Amendment Right” to do what they were doing. In the 1950s, a stripper was taken to court for her act. Her defense was she was an ecdysiast. An everyday word? No. Translation to English: a striptease performer.

Recently, in Detroit, religious groups wanted strippers (not ‘exotic dancers’) to wear something that strippers wore in the 1950s and to stay a certain distance away from customers. The published reply from the pornographers: “We have millions of dollars to fight this.” Fight what? Losing money over lust? Because ‘stripping’ had degraded over the decades, and like a drug, something a bit more immoral had to be added to their act.

If we are to be civil, as in civilized, we do not condone hardcore porn or strippers or prostitution. We must warn others.

To my brothers and sisters in Christ, though a sinner myself, I offer the following to encourage and not condemn.

Ezekiel 33: 8

New International Version
“When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.”

New Living Translation
“If I announce that some wicked people are sure to die and you fail to tell them to change their ways, then they will die in their sins, and I will hold you responsible for their deaths.”

English Standard Version
“If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.”

33:9

New International Version
“But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, though you yourself will be saved.”

New Living Translation
“But if you warn them to repent and they don’t repent, they will die in their sins, but you will have saved yourself.”

English Standard Version
“But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, that person shall die in his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul.”
