We do know the day and the hour?

Alright Fellow Catholics I really need ur help on this one, basically before I though that we don’t know the day nor the hour and that information is disclosed for God but then I’ve been reading up on people claiming to receive private revelation of them being told by God that we are now entering the time of the Antichrist and that the Second Coming is about to happen. I though this information was only for God? Did something change and he’s giving this information now? Can anyone help I’m still very confused. Like there are several of them I’ve seen, so I guess I’m just very confused do we know the day and the hour now because God told us or are these messages false, if anyone who knows about these things can help me then that would be great!
 
You were correct the first time. The Bible does say that we dont lnow the day or hour Jesus is supposed to return.

Here’s the thing. People are scared right now. They’re in pain and hurting and the world we knew increasingly makes no sense. So they try really hard to make sense. These people aren’t stupid or crazy. Just in a lot of fear and uncertainty.

No, nothing changed. God is not giving this information now, and he never gave it in the past, either. For centuries now there have been people making this stuff up.

When my family converted there was… Confusion and that was before home PC were common.
Three days of darkness, antichrist, antipope it was an emotional time. It didn’t help that traditional hardlined Catholics had a prepper air to their tone. They passed around books like “Pierced by the Sword” and “Father Elijah.” (Great books don’t get me wrong) but they feed into your anxiety if you are not careful.

Private revelation are not doctrine. I know I’m not Catholic anymore and you want to take what I say with a grain of salt but wait on Rome. We’ve had anti Popes before, Catholics handled in then, you can now too.
 
I’m confused so those messages I’m seeing about were in the Antichrist period because God told me and God also told me that the Second Coming is about to happen are false and should not be listened too?

That phrase is specifically from the Bible. It’s several places but you could start around Matthew 24:36.
 
Wait so those private revelations people are claiming to have about this are false? But i though God was giving them this information? Forgive me I’m very bad at understanding
 
Anyone claiming a specific day and hour is false. The Bible also does tell us to watch for signs so we know when it is close or the season. That is why prophecies can be true.

Rome takes a long time verifying miracles, saints and in this case prophets. It’s not “false” it’s in review.

This, anything claiming specific times are not approved by the church.

To add to this, private revelations are only said to be “worthy of belief”, not that the contents of the revelations are de fide true.
 
Some of the private revelations say things like We’re now entering the time of the Antichrist and the Second Coming is about to happen, is that knowing the day and the hour?
 
Jesus said there will be general signs that would indicate the end. Something about viruses and an acronym which He drew in the sand at some point: “BLM” I think. Kidding of course. But He also said that only the Father knows. I wouldn’t get too concerned about it-people have prophesied this event over and over again throughout the centuries.

And I prophecy that the end is coming soon enough-probably too soon-for all of us! 😀

Well they said we’re in the time of the Antichrist now and Second Coming is about to happen that’s basically knowing the day and the hour. You know that the day and the hour is not a literal day and hour it can be time and season

The way the Church judges the validity / truth of a claimed “private revelation” is whether it contradicts the Public Revelation of God, or if it upholds it.

If they’re claiming something that’s the direct opposite of what Jesus says in the Bible… I think it’s pretty clear that it’s an invalid ‘private revelation’…!
