That’s wonderful for you.
We are blessed, by God’s grace, with a wonderful bishop here in the Diocese of Clifton; the Rt.Rev. Declan Lang.
Although one knows his apostolic authority and respects it, one can still feel that he is just a priest. Bishop Declan is a humble man. I think that is so important. He does not put put on any airs and graces and, after an ordination which I attended in quite a far flung parish (I live in a little town outside of Bristol) I found it so strange, but comforting, that he was loading his paraphernalia into the boot (trunk) of the car he had driven 30 miles in by himself. Everyone else was having a good time at the party but he had to get back to the Cathedral to say Mass. I guess I though that a bishop, as prince of the Church should be accompanied by a curate at least. I’m getting old.
I hope your new bishop has a blessed and wonderful life amongst you. God bless you all.
