We all choose what we think we need. Not for you to make that decision. By the way, who are you to judge? Is that also news to you?

I’m tired of corporations and businesses telling me I must believe in their false religion in order to be their customer. No, I don’t, and if they want to push it I will not be their customer and will encourage others not to be.

Really I think stopping their business in Georgia would hurt them more than the state. Less income for them. Come to think about it, their very agenda would make them lose more viewers. Netflix really needs a big turnaround to reconcile themselves with hundreds, maybe thousands of their viewers.

No they don’t. Many manifest atheist (active atheists not philosophical atheists) as well as young active progressists know about the communist view of religion and agree with it FULLY!
Lenin’s books are re-read in a new light, freed from the “malign condemnation” communism received from some people during history, and some feminists are now freed by the idea that after all Marx did help women and gave them power and freedom.
What they want is not to re-run history but to complete what communism did not get a chance to do but is listed as promised in Marx and Lenin books.
Communism is humanism on LSD and will probably still be the last ruling ideology of the world until the end of times. What it promises pleases a lot of people and as long as people receive the material promises the “Party” brings it can only grow. Most people are hedonists and so communism simply is psychologically in tune with the majority of people. Democracy cannot win against a dictatorship dictated by people without committing suicide.
We have to be prepared for it and stay determined not to join in the crazy show.

I have no idea what you are talking about. But thanks for your participation. 😀

(name removed by moderator), try picking on someone else. I am not the only person in the classroom.
My original response to this thread was that I go not plan to cancell Netflix, just because of their political stand on abortion. They provide a service. I would care less about their politics.

Whatever. Say what you want. I have not put anyone down here. I have expressed an opinion. Not popular with many, like yourself.
Let us agree to disagree. Without being disagreeable!

Your last sentence is right on the mark.
Have a truly wonderful day! 🙂

Weren’t the initial communists foolish as well? Yet they got the power and convinced many.
It doesn’t matter if atheists are silly or not, they are motivated and very charismatic. They will win again, in a new more dictatorial form. Because religious people are caught up in self-justification and a mortified horror at what is gping that is only cool for the 17th century. Now it’s downright silly from our part to just assume that atheism leads nowhere. Yes it leads and people are buying it en gros.

To my point, if you were to ever say THAT to a southerner who merely said the word ‘y’all’, you’d be unable to evangelize.

That’s it. The South is fixin’ to be both the most populous region in this country, and the biggest in terms of economy. Just FYI. We have Texas, plus Rust belt vs. Sun belt.

And I think people on this thread, on the internet, know when people come across as people who never watch TV. Like, if you want to sound like you’re Amish, be my guest.

I like Netflix. I am not going to cancel just because they have taken some political stand. Does anyone really care how Netflix stands on political issues? It is not like what they are doing will have an impact on things.
The only reason I would stop subscribing would be if the content stops appealing to me. For example, I think they’ve ruined Designated Survivor, so if they do a fourth season, I won’t watch that show, but there are other shows that I do like being able to watch.

I agree.
What I would like to see is if Netflix would retrieve some cancelled ABC/CBS/NBS programs and revive them on Netflix. The big three networks tend to pull programs unless they are an instant hit in the ratings.
I remember many years ago when NBC canned the original Star Trek series because of low ratings. Was that a colossal mistake or what?

Many people don’t see this as “supporting” an immoral company, but merely as purchasing goods or services., that’s all. They don’t feel obligated to only do business with moral companies. Let’s say you run a grocery store. You would hire employees who will do a good job for you while on company time, but what they do on their own time is not your concern. Same with companies- the service you pay for is what’s in question, not anything the company does “on its own time.”

It’s an unfortunate reality that most companies support one immoral thing or another. If you end up in a hospital, do you first check that no doctor there prescribes contraceptives before allowing them to treat you? What about grocery stores, department stores? We wouldn’t be able to buy anything if we only did business with moral companies. It would be nice to live in a Christian society where most people shared our values, wouldn’t it? It’s a pipe dream in most places in the world, especially the US.
