Their motto must be: “We’re all for the right to kill animals! Thats what animal rights are…right?”

It reminds me of the idiot activists who broke into a Chinchilla farm a few years ago and released all the animals into the wild where they quickly died of exposure since the climate was not even close to their natural habitat. It also reminds me of the idiot activists who throw red paint on furs which are then replaced by the insurance company so all these activists are actually accomplishing is having twice as many animals killed to provide one person with a fur. All heart, no brain.

The zoo must kill the bear," said spokesman Frank Albrecht. “Feeding by hand is not species-appropriate but a gross violation of animal protection laws.”
Oh, I don’t think the feeding by hand will go any longer than necessary…

I love how the animal rights activists said that the animal would be humilated… animals can’t be humiliated… That’s something that seperates us from the animals!

We had an incident like that here, too. Some PETA people broke into a lab at the U of M and stole several mice and other such creatures and dumped them along a highway in a cloverleaf area. They nearly all died from exposure and starvation! Oh yeah, these guys looooooooove animals all right!

Guess they will picket me next. I hand feed exotic birds that the parents won’t or can’t feed.

The local shelter feeds cats, dogs, rabbits and many other kinds of animals when mom can’t or won’t.

I always thought it was called compassion.

Come on now…they are worried about the poor bear’s self esteem. It may need some bear counselling in the future*. *

Besides, the poor creature is in Germany, so it’s rights are limited…at least here we support the Right to Keep and Arm Bears.

Lets wait until Knut is 2 years old and then put Frank Albrecht in the enclosure with him and tell Albrecht, “You kill him!”

Oh you horrible, horrible person. How do you live with yourself? I think you should call PETA right away and have them explain to you why those animals you care for would be better off dead.

Correction to my previous post.

Strike “People” and insert “Pinheads.”

Classic! Made my day!

Not a fan of PETA. My dad was undergoing treatment for prostate cancer around the same time Rudy Giuliani was going through it. It was then that PETA launched a campaign of billboards, newspapers and other places based on the “GOT MILK?” ads. (they believe that the hormones given to cows cause protate cancer among other things…could be right? I don’t know)

So all over the place were these ads with Rudy Giuliani and under his face the words:
GOT PROSTATE CANCER?
Really bad taste.

Anyway, Rudy took it pretty lightly (at least publicly). I didn’t take it well and wrote them a nasty email. Believe it or not, to their credit, they actually responded after a week or two. But it was a rather lame explanation with some twisted rationale for their behavior.

Sorry for the rambling. :o This seemed to be the place.

It was also about this time they had ads urging college students to drink beer instead of milk.:whacky:
